First off, I'm a freshman in high school who discovered makeup in 7th grade and quickly amassed a collection of cosmetics! I'm new to Hwahae, but I'm determined to make the most of it this time, which is why I'm writing this review. I've been using two Etude House shadow palettes and trying many single shadows, but I couldn't find the right colors for my face. I concluded that for maintaining my student image, it's better to go for a subtle contoured look! As a result, I wanted to buy a palette that was both versatile and affordable, which led me to Too Cool For School. I bought this palette around December and vowed not to buy any other eyeshadows until I finished it. Surprisingly, I've kept that promise so far! That's how perfect it is for daily use. Please keep in mind that I've been using it for quite a while, as I put a lot of thought into this purchase! Now, let's list the advantages~ First, for daily use, this product is the cream of the crop in the industry. Its versatility is truly impressive. When my contour powder broke, I relied solely on this product for contouring for about a month! Most people, except for those really into makeup, tend to have a set daily routine, right? If that's you, you'll use this product until it's empty - congratulations! With five different brown shades and no redness, it's perfect for everyday looks. Before this, I used Etude's In The Café palette, known for its daily wearability, but this one suits me even better. The pigmentation is incredible. That's actually what made me fall in love with it. Most of the swatches on my hand are from just one application. I'm not a fan of products that apply patchy like duck droppings. Especially with brown shades, the strong pigmentation isn't overwhelming at all - it's just right. The adherence? It's top-notch. You know how useless eyeshadow is if it doesn't stick, right? This product feels very compressed, like touching a soft stone with your finger. I love the unique case. It's not just regular plastic, but feels like a sturdy box that acts as a shock absorber. The design embodies Too Cool For School's signature sophistication, and even if you drop it clumsily, it only gets minor scratches while the eyeshadow remains unaffected! I think it might be tougher than me.
The powder fallout... While it's unavoidable with soft, blendable products, the fallout does occur. Moreover, sometimes the fallout irritates my eyes. It felt like wearing low-quality mascara. Could the ingredients be problematic? The price is a bit steep for just six colors, isn't it? And perhaps due to the fallout, the product seems to deplete quickly. However, the intense pigmentation means you don't need to apply multiple layers, which helps a bit.
To maximize one of this product's key advantages - its adherence - you should apply it with your fingers. Using a brush only increases unnecessary fallout. It seems the true value of this product shines when applied with your hands.
