    Etude Fixing Tint Bar 04 Coral Rose is a pink coral shade designed for deep undertones, and it became one of the standout products in the personal color community right after its launch. For me, with a spring light tone, the color payoff isn't overwhelming while still bringing a fresh vibrancy to my lips, so I loved it from my first try. The unique blend of what feels like five parts pink to one part coral makes it stand out in any collection, and it's become my go-to daily lip shade. One of the biggest strengths of this product is its color payoff. Even with just a single thin layer applied to the lips, the color comes through beautifully, and when I apply it once more to the inner lip, the gradient effect looks incredibly clean. Unlike water tints that can bleed or streak, this is so easy to use that even makeup beginners can apply it flawlessly. Especially on days when I want a polished lip look, applying this tint makes my lip line pop while elevating the overall finish of my entire makeup. The second advantage is the formula texture. It applies like a creamy lip balm, smooth and effortless, but once set, it finishes with a slightly blurred effect while maintaining a semi-matte feel that isn't overly dry. I absolutely love this balance. Completely matte lip products often emphasize texture and can crack easily, making them impractical for daily wear. But this fixing tint bar has a unique texture where the creamy formula hugs the lips instantly upon application while still providing a secure, long-lasting finish. The third advantage is that it leaves almost no staining. Generally, lip products with strong color payoff tend to stain heavily, making cleansing tedious and leaving residual color on the lips throughout the day. However, thanks to its semi-matte texture, this product delivers bold color without significant staining, making it easy to cleanse. This is a major plus for people with sensitive skin or those who like to change their lip color frequently. Finally, the value for money and accessibility are also huge advantages. With a retail price of 16,000 won, it's more affordable than other premium lip products, and you can grab it even cheaper during sales on platforms like Coupang. I actually purchased mine with my own money on Coupang, and I've gone through more than five tubes because I'm so satisfied. It's definitely one of my go-to repurchase products.
    However, like all products, Etude Fixing Tint Bar 04 Coral Rose does have some drawbacks. The first noticeable downside is texture emphasis. As I mentioned, while the formula is creamy and applies smoothly, the moment it sets, it creates a thin film on the lips that can emphasize any dry patches or flakiness. Especially during seasonal transitions when lips tend to get drier, no matter how much lip balm I apply, the texture becomes more pronounced after a short time. This product really only looks beautiful when your lips are in perfect condition with thorough exfoliation and hydration. The second drawback is how quickly it sets. While the texture itself is soft, you have a relatively short window to blend and adjust on the lips. Especially when defining and applying along the lip line, this can be challenging for people with slower hand movements or makeup beginners. Because it sets so fast, you often need to remove and reapply if you want to make corrections. Due to this characteristic, you need to develop some skill and familiarity with the application technique. The third drawback is longevity. Because the semi-matte formula has minimal staining, the wear time is shorter compared to fully-set water tints. While some reviews mention it doesn't transfer much onto masks, in reality, you can see the color gradually fade from the center of the lips over time. Especially after eating or drinking, the color fades noticeably. While touch-ups aren't difficult, this is definitely a lip product you need to carry with you for extended outings. Lastly, while the color itself is beautiful and flattering for deep undertones, the pink undertone can be overly emphasized depending on your skin tone, which might not work for everyone. It suits me perfectly as a deep undertone type, but for those with warmer, more yellow-based skin, the pink might appear slightly off, so a color test is absolutely necessary. Because the color payoff is so strong, if it doesn't suit you, it can actually look unnatural.
    This product looks much better when applied after exfoliating your lips. Use a lip scrub or gel-type exfoliant to smooth your lips, then apply a thin layer of lip primer or hydrating lip balm, and let it dry slightly before applying the tint. This prevents texture emphasis and creates a blurred, seamless finish. Apply a thin layer overall, then add one more layer to the inner lip for a gradient effect, and you'll achieve a clean, natural, fresh-looking lip. Since it sets quickly, the key is to apply it in small sections rather than spreading it all at once, and blend rapidly for the best results!
