My husband isn't a fan of the Aromatica Rosemary shampoo scent. Plus, the smell comes back after just one day. I thoroughly wet my hair first, then use about the size of a coin (either a small or larger one) and apply it twice - once to the upper section and once to the lower section of my hair. Since I have thick, long hair, I always blow-dry at least 80% of it. First of all, this product smells absolutely amazing, and it creates such a rich lather. When the rosemary scent fills up the bathroom, it just puts me in a great mood! Also, my husband has an oily scalp and usually gets breakouts, but after using this shampoo, he told me, "I haven't had any issues since switching to this." I think anyone with an oily scalp would see really great results with this product. The only downside I'd mention is that after shampooing with this product, my hair feels a bit stiff. I'm guessing it's because there are no silicones or harsh surfactants in the formula. But honestly, once I follow up with a rinse or conditioner right after, it's not really a big deal at all. You can alternate using this with tea tree products. I purchased it based on the ingredients, and I've been using it consistently for five years now through my own testing. My scalp is in perfect condition. It does exactly what it's supposed to do - effectively cleanse buildup and impurities. There really aren't any downsides. If I had to mention something, it has slightly less cleansing power compared to the tea tree product from the same line. Since my hair is fine and lacks volume, I've discovered a trick that works wonders for me: sometimes I apply the shampoo directly to my dry scalp without wetting my hair first, then gradually add water while lathering. This method gives my hair so much more fullness and lift!
