Thanks to this product, my contact dermatitis completely cleared up. I have thin, translucent skin with visible blood vessels, sensitive skin, extremely dry skin, a tendency to get hot easily, and severe redness. When my already-compromised skin encountered masks, it became even more problematic. During summer, the heat caused excessive sweating and oil production, leading to seborrheic dermatitis. In winter, the dry conditions combined with mask friction and moisture trapped inside the mask triggered contact dermatitis. Here's where the real story begins: To calm the inflammation, I took prescription medication from my dermatologist, but the antibiotics caused severe internal dryness, which brought on tiny whiteheads all over my face. As the breakouts appeared, my skin temperature naturally rose, causing those whiteheads to become inflamed. It was a vicious cycle. I desperately needed a product that could lower my skin temperature and provide effective soothing. That's when I discovered Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera. Most aloe vera products contain alcohol to enhance their soothing effects, but that didn't work for my sensitive skin. What I loved about Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera is that it contains pure aloe vera and nothing else. When I apply it chilled, I can visibly see my irritated skin calm down right after cleansing. Plus, it addresses my internal dryness and helps prevent those tiny breakouts! How I use it: I use this as a sheet mask. I place unbleached, fluorescent-free cotton pads in a sterilized container and pour this product over them. I typically use about 2 bottles to make enough masks for 2 weeks of use. (Must refrigerate!) I apply this mask every morning and evening, or whenever my skin feels irritated. (Keep the mask on for no more than 10 minutes to avoid irritation and inflammation.) This approach lowers my facial temperature, calms inflammation, addresses internal dryness, prevents tiny breakouts, and delivers multiple benefits all at once! Usually, aloe gel products can cause makeup to shift, but I'm not sure if this one does since I'm currently skipping makeup while my skin recovers from extraction treatments. Once my skin fully heals, I'll update this review! If you tend to have a lot of heat in your face, you absolutely must try this! Use it again and again! The scent is a bit metallic? But that's just how natural beauty products are. I'd rather use a natural product with an unusual smell than a chemical-laden product loaded with synthetic fragrance. Always apply it chilled! - ab***Da hỗn hợpDa mụnĐược đề xuất17/08/2020 (UTC+0)
I bought this to mix with tea tree oil. Since it's a water-based formula rather than a gel, I soak a cotton pad with it, place it gently on problem areas, and wipe it away. It feels refreshing and works great! I'm really happy with it because it has minimal additives and is gentle on my skin. The color changes as you use it, which is disappointing. Plus, the container is inconvenient. The liquid dries and sticks around the opening, so it gets messy the more you use it. I have to wipe it down every time I use it, which is frustrating.
ha*******Da khôDa mụnĐược đề xuất26/04/2020 (UTC+0)I really appreciated how minimal the additives are, and even though it has a very lightweight, watery texture, it works wonderfully as a skin toner substitute. On lazy days, I'd just apply this and skip the essence or serum, then finish with a hydrating cream and sunscreen. Honestly, there wasn't anything disappointing about it. If anything comes up, I'll update you then. If you're looking for an aloe gel formula, I'd recommend Suppia Aloe Gel over this product instead. And even if you have oily skin, I think you'll still need to follow up with an emulsion or hydrating cream after using this. - kp*******Da hỗn hợpĐược đề xuất11/11/2018 (UTC+0)
I'm really happy with how well this product works for me! It's not an aloe vera gel type, but rather a lightweight, water-based toner formula that's perfect to use as a skin treatment alternative. The only downside is that the scent isn't quite my preference. I think I would have enjoyed it much more if it were fragrance-free. - db*****Da khôDa nhạy cảm02/09/2018 (UTC+0)
It truly feels like fresh aloe is captured right in this product. When I massage it in every morning, my skin stays so hydrated that I don't need any additional moisturizing steps. Rather than improving the skin texture itself, this works best as a hydration treatment product. - sk********Da hỗn hợp21/01/2018 (UTC+0)
This product has a lightweight, watery texture that absorbs quickly into the skin. You'll need to gently pat it in like you would with a thin toner, though I have to say the scent isn't my favorite. Since it's organic, I'd recommend using it within 6 months of opening and storing it in a cool place. It's especially wonderful during summer—it really excels at calming and soothing sun-exposed skin. The texture is way too watery and runny. The smell is pretty off-putting and not pleasant at all. There's barely any fragrance, which makes it hard to feel confident about the product.
ku*******Da hỗn hợpDa nhạy cảm12/04/2017 (UTC+0)I keep it in the refrigerator and use it regularly. Rather than applying it daily, I use it at the toner step for hydration and soothing purposes, especially after exfoliating or when my skin is acting up. I reach for it more often during summer. I also saturate a cotton pad with it and apply it like a mask on my face. I love how refreshing it feels and how quickly it absorbs into the skin. The scent is... the natural aloe aroma isn't really my thing. It takes some getting used to. On hot summer days, pull it straight from the refrigerator, soak a cotton pad, and use it as a soothing treatment mask. It's wonderful. - hw****Da dầuDa mụn17/02/2017 (UTC+0)
This aloe vera has a lightweight, fluid texture that's totally different from thicker aloe gels - no sticky residue or pilling whatsoever. When you gently pat it onto your skin, it absorbs beautifully and instantly. It works wonderfully as a sheet mask treatment too! The lightweight formula makes it tricky to control the amount you dispense. You absolutely have to keep it refrigerated! - ys*****Da khô15/01/2017 (UTC+0)
I'm using this as a substitute for toner. I soak a cotton pad generously with it and use it for hydration and soothing my skin. The only downside is that the bottle size is quite small, so it runs out pretty quickly.
de********Da khô10/12/2016 (UTC+0)I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through. Despite Aubrey Organics' rather flimsy bottle design, this is the kind of product I keep repurchasing and using consistently. At 118ml, I go through about one or two bottles a month. When I apply it, there's that signature aloe slip to it, but it's not the same slippery feeling you get from glycerin. Once it dries, it feels fresh and clean. My skin rarely breaks out, but on the rare occasions when a blemish does pop up, I soak a cotton pad with this toner, leave it on overnight, and wake up to clear skin. Even when I've over-exfoliated or my skin feels irritated and tight, this soothes everything. I can't help it—this is my holy grail product. Because of it, I'm ordering from iHerb at least once a month. When I'm almost done with the bottle and look at the bottom, I notice some dark, grainy, slightly brownish residue. It doesn't seem to mix in well, so it might be suspended particles or leftover sediment. It's a bit off-putting, but since it's natural, there's not much you can do about it. I'll admit that in summer it does feel a bit sticky and tacky. But since it's a cleansing toner, that's just how it works. I'm still using it regardless. There's no larger size available, and honestly, you don't really need one since you'll use it up so quickly and just end up buying it again anyway. Just grab it from iHerb—it's so affordable. The instructions say to refrigerate after opening, but since I finish a bottle in less than a month, I don't always follow that. Outside of summer, I've noticed it doesn't go bad even without refrigeration. During summer though, it does feel a bit off, so I do pop it in and out of the fridge occasionally.
