    I love how well this adheres to the skin without clumping. I did tap it on a bit firmly and got some minor clumping, but honestly, it's totally manageable. I was really worried about transfer since it's a hydrating cushion formula, but it only smudged slightly on the mask around the nose area. I expected it to break down messily when mixed with my skin's natural oils, but surprisingly, my skin didn't get as oily! The coverage stayed beautiful all the way through the evening. As someone with oily skin, I always thought "matte finish is a must, hydrating formulas transfer like crazy and look messy!" But this product really proves that technology can change everything.
    The shade 2 is supposedly for shade 21, but it looks more like shades 22 to bright 23! You really need to check the color carefully before buying. I was hoping for a half-shade lighter look, but it ended up matching my natural skin tone exactly.
    Works amazingly well with oil balm! Try applying oil balm as your base first.

    Recommended for: If you're someone who loves the brightness you get from Espoir Be Silk or Be Glow shade 4 in Beige, this is perfect for you. This foundation matches the brightness of the Espoir series beige but with a more subdued, sophisticated tone. It's ideal if you find that pure ivory-leaning shades don't work for your skin. The color is natural and never looks dull. I used to feel like Espoir Beige was slightly off-tone for me, which created a subtle mismatch, but this shade blends beautifully with my skin tone. The coverage is excellent and it looks so natural. After the Pure Addition renewal, the formula became a bit more hydrating. It doesn't melt off though—it sets with a semi-matte finish and applies so smoothly. When you use a thin layer, it sits beautifully in your pores and is super easy to touch up. My pores are naturally large and have started to sag with age, plus the humidity from wearing masks makes everything look slick and settles into my pores. Even with matte foundations, the surface gets shiny while my pores get clogged. But this one? Way less pore-clogging, and on good skin days, barely any at all. Plus, the compact case is always gorgeous.
    The main drawback is that it's only available online. That said, I appreciate that the brand keeps reformulating and putting effort into production. Since the company isn't huge, when items sell out, you might have to wait a bit to restock. The sponge applicator is quite firm at first, so I ended up picking up too much product when I pressed too hard.
    For those with large pores: As I mentioned, anything will settle into them, so here's the trick. When you start, gently press and tap the product on with a light hand. Don't be greedy with the amount. Since the sponge is firm initially, be gentle when you first dab it on until you get used to it.
