Love the color payoff - it applies so smoothly and evenly. My lips are naturally a light pink, and this gives them a flattering red shade with just the right amount of flush. I usually just wear lip balm on its own, but when I'm looking a bit too pale, a couple of swipes of this really does the trick. Love the scent - it's definitely a personal preference kind of fragrance, but it reminds me of that cherry chapstick I used to wear back in the day. Since I adore that scent, I have no complaints whatsoever. Moisture - I tested this on deliberately dry lips without any lip balm underneath. It feels okay when you first apply it, but after a couple of hours it gets parched and you need to reapply. As you keep using it, little clumps form and flake off along with dead skin. It also settles into fine lines. Plus, if you drink water or use a straw, it can leave white streaks. Formula - It's not too soft, but it's quite firm. The flat edge of the stick doesn't have a slant, so it tends to go all over the place when you apply it. If you're not looking in a mirror, you'll end up looking like you didn't wipe off some red sauce. That's why I have to dab it on gently instead. Container - Why does the cap have to be so tight? You really have to pull hard to get it open. It feels like opening one of those official seal stamp containers. This definitely needs improvement. Lip irritation - The day after using this lip color, my lips feel completely raw, tender, and tight. They get incredibly dry. My entire lip area becomes rough and flaky. I don't think this formula works well with my lips. The red shade is beautifully subtle, so it looks amazing when you layer a glossy essence on top of the lip color. I really appreciated that I could use this on bare skin without any base. Just keep your expectations realistic and you'll be happy with it. It's a bit drying on my lips. The color fades fast, and I'm not really impressed with the moisturizing power either.
