I thought a hybrid formula would be the perfect middle ground, so I gave it a try. It's less oily than pure chemical formulas, so I do get fewer breakouts. But here's the thing—it's actually more irritating than the chemical option. I didn't notice it as much in summer since the heat was distracting, but once winter rolled around, everything changed. When this sunscreen mixed with the dryness of the season, my dermatitis flared up badly. I'm talking burning sensations, pustules, dehydrated skin underneath, that tight, almost-tearing feeling, and redness—basically every classic symptom of inflamed skin showed up. Even in summer, it wasn't exactly a holy grail product for me, so I was just using it casually. But once I started wearing it in winter, I realized it definitely doesn't work for my skin. I'm going back to trying different formulas. If nothing else works, I might go back to the chemical sunscreen I used before. Since it's winter now, it might be more tolerable than it was in summer.
