The fragrance is lovely, and the formula seems gentle enough to soothe even my sensitive scalp. I started with a green-colored hair care shampoo, but the formula was so thick and uncomfortable to use. I thought I'd give this one a try, and the formula is much lighter and easier to apply. The scent is subtle and lovely. I'm someone who personally believes that fragrance can never indicate good ingredients, but this one is perfectly balanced and I really enjoy it. I can't use conditioner, and while the hair care shampoo didn't give me that silky, shiny hair feel, the scalp care version actually makes my hair feel even frizzier than the regular hair care one. However, since this isn't a product that strips your hair dry in the first place, it's only a minor disappointment. Since you asked for the downsides, here are the ones I noticed. If you have oily scalp, I'd suggest avoiding this. Even though I have dry scalp, using it once a day is fine, but on days when I wash every other day, I need to shampoo twice because the oil-control isn't very effective. I picked this refreshing scalp care shampoo, and after just one day of use, my son's hair felt noticeably softer and fluffier. It's been a week now, and his hair is still beautifully fluffy. I had an itchy, oily scalp, but after using this, my scalp feels refreshingly hydrated and balanced. My hair strands aren't stiff or weighed down, so I'm really happy with it. The scent isn't overpowering either, which is great. Since I have short hair, two pumps is the perfect amount for me. I've always paid close attention to ingredients, and since I'm currently pregnant, I can't ignore what goes on my scalp. The formula is excellent aside from the fragrance. I'm not sure if it's because of the raw material scent, but I wish the fragrance had been removed entirely if possible. I also hope the price doesn't go up any further. On days when you sweat a lot, try leaving the product on your scalp for about five minutes after shampooing before rinsing it out. I've gone through more than 10 bottles and I really recommend it. It's a must-have! I can't think of anything I wish was different. It's pretty much perfect as is.
