True to its name, it really does feel like it's creating a protective "shield" around my hair. First, let me talk about the scent. Rush has this signature fragrance that comes through subtly—it's not overpowering at all. Instead, it has this warm, creamy nutty aroma that makes blow-drying such a pleasant experience. After I finish drying, the scent lingers just a bit like a light perfume, so my hair smells amazing throughout the day. My hair has taken a beating from coloring and flat ironing, so the ends were always stiff and rough. But after applying this serum and blow-drying, my hair becomes so much softer and looks more polished. When I run my fingers through it, it feels incredibly smooth and silky with a beautiful shine. There are so many serums out there that feel greasy or heavy, but this one strikes the perfect balance—it's moisturizing without feeling weighty. It's perfect for everyday use. I apply it to damp hair from the mid-lengths to the ends, and my hair stays smooth and calm all day long. The only thing to watch out for is using too much product, as it can feel a bit heavy if you overdo it. Finding the right amount is key! For me, about one and a half pumps was the sweet spot. The price point is definitely on the higher side, as you'd expect from Rush, but since this serum delivers heat protection, shine, and a gorgeous scent all in one, I'm really happy with my purchase. The price is really disappointing. It's quite expensive. But aside from that, I'm very satisfied! If you use too much, your hair can get weighed down and clumpy, so it's essential to use the right amount.

I absolutely love it! While Lush's treatment is great too, I felt like something was missing, so I decided to grab Shield as well. What makes Shield special is that it contains ethyl macadamiate, which works as a silicone alternative. This ingredient blocks heat and moisture, so it literally acts like a protective shield for your hair. At first, the scent seemed a bit artificial and I wasn't sure about it, but after a while, it mellowed out beautifully and I ended up loving the fragrance so much! The Super Milk is so sweet that I keep repurchasing it, and I have a feeling the Shield will become a staple too. It's a different kind of sweetness compared to Super Milk. I really recommend testing it with the tester at the store before buying. The only downside is that the quantity is small, and it's quite pricey. Since it's a hair product and I have long hair, I end up pumping it about five times a day, so it runs out pretty quickly. It works great when you apply it before blow-drying, so I usually apply a generous amount to damp hair.
