    I've been really loving aloe masks lately. However, I found that aloe gels only provide hydration without much moisture retention, and they dry out quickly. I was searching for an alternative when I discovered Le Muse's oxygen gel, which seemed promising, so I decided to give it a try! First off, the scent is quite distinctive. It has apple water in it, so there's this herbal, plant-like aroma to it. I think people will have different opinions about it. It's a gel formula, but unlike aloe gel, it's much thicker and doesn't run down your face, making it really easy to apply generously. With aloe gel, even when I kept it in the fridge, it would flow like water the moment it touched my skin, so I couldn't even mix it with serums. This one has a consistency like a thick pudding, so it spreads beautifully and works wonderfully as a gel mask. It's packed with hydration but doesn't feel dry, and even after it fully sets, I can still feel a lasting moisture barrier. It's like someone took the best qualities of both aloe gel and gel cream and combined them perfectly. As someone with combination skin, this was absolutely perfect for me. I'm definitely going to repurchase once I finish this jar!
    I've seen some reviews mentioning that it's a bit sticky, but since I always apply a cream on top anyway, it wasn't an issue for me. No matter how hydrating a product is, at the end of the day it's still a gel, so you need to layer a cream on top to prevent moisture loss. That said, if you have very oily skin or deal with excessive oil production, you might actually prefer the lighter, fresher aloe gel instead.
    If you apply a functional serum first, then layer this oxygen gel generously, and follow up with a sheet mask soaked in water, you get soothing, hydration, and moisture all in one treatment. It's like getting a professional spa mask at home! Just make sure to keep the oxygen gel refrigerated for this method!

    I have reactive, redness-prone skin and this soothing gel is absolutely evenly effective. I purchased it from Modern LA as part of the Remu Mist + Remu Oxygen Gel set. Since Remu is a dermatologist-recommended brand from the US, I only use their skincare line on the advice of my dermatologist. Because it contains no harmful chemicals, it's completely non-irritating. The moment I apply it, my red, inflamed skin calms down instantly and the formula absorbs deeply into the skin layers, leaving it feeling incredibly hydrated for hours. When I use the Remu Mist, follow with the Oxygen Gel, and finish with the Remu BioCell Cream, it feels exactly like I just had an aqua peel treatment at the dermatology clinic. The pump dispenser makes it so convenient and hygienic to use. For reactive skin like mine, there's honestly nothing better than this! I highly recommend it. Make sure you order directly from the US—the authentic version works so much better than through resellers.
    The price seemed a bit steep at first, but the quantity is actually more generous than expected, so the value is really good. Since it ships from the US, you should expect about 5 days for delivery.
    The results are even better when you use it together with the Remu Celltitude Mist, and since they offer a larger size, I'd recommend getting the regular size first and then switching to the larger size once you've finished it.
