For a matte product, it's not overly matte—it strikes a nice balance. I don't regret choosing this as my go-to product at all. There's nothing major to complain about. That said, the shade looked much more orange-toned under the store lighting, but in real life it's more of a true red. It's frustrating when the store's lighting makes the actual color look so different from what you see in person. Pro tip: Apply a lip balm beforehand!

Power Warm-Tone Lipstick The orange-red shade is absolutely stunning It has this beautiful balsam flower color that looks so natural and vibrant I'm not sure if this is typical for retro matte lipsticks in general, but the flaking is really intense and the application is practically impossible. Even when I take extra care with lip prep and exfoliate beforehand, the lipstick still feels clumpy and bunches up on my lips. I tested it on my wrist and it immediately clumped together and looked patchy It looks really pretty when you layer it with Rom&N Shell Nude or Sixteenbrand Pumpkin Caramel. If you apply a smoother matte lipstick as a base first, it actually works much better and gives you a more wearable finish
