The color is absolutely gorgeous! When you layer it on, the red tone gets more intense, but it doesn't look tacky or patchy at all. Each application goes on smoothly and evenly, just like the first time you apply it. I know it's a lip balm so it's bound to fade, but wow, it disappears really quickly. After eating, there's barely any color left. I was looking for a lip balm that would just add a natural glow without heavy color, and this one delivers the perfect amount of tint. The shade is a toned-down red that looks like my natural lip color, which I absolutely love. This is a lip balm I absolutely love and use all the time. I actually reach for it more than I do tinted lip products, and it genuinely feels like it brings my natural lip color back to life. The moisturizing power could be a bit stronger, to be honest. That said, it's not overly drying, so it's definitely worth using. I received this as a gift and loved it so much that I now give it to others as presents too. Since it's a vegan lip balm, it applies smoothly without feeling heavy, and the hydration is fantastic. During winter when I can't be bothered with a full makeup routine, I can just swipe this on and I'm good to go. If you like applying it thickly and layering it on, the color can get quite intense. I've tried plenty of lip balms that melt into a thick, patchy mess on my lips because of body heat, which can feel really uncomfortable. But this one is different! It has a firmer texture that glides on smoothly and effortlessly, almost like watercolor painting on my lips. The color payoff is absolutely stunning! It gives my lips such a natural, healthy flush with a beautiful red tone that feels like it was made just for me. The shade is sheer enough to wear bare-faced, but it delivers such a gorgeous finish that it easily holds its own next to a traditional lipstick. I've been layering it into my everyday makeup routine without any issues whatsoever. If I finish this one, I'm definitely going to repurchase it in another shade! It applies so smoothly and the hydration is really impressive. The color payoff is fantastic too. I have deep undertones for autumn, and this shade is absolutely perfect for my skin tone. As a lipstick, the staying power is a bit disappointing. In my experience, the color completely faded after just an hour. I loved how moisturizing this is without feeling sticky or heavy. I was already using a lighter shade of the same product, but this rust red has such great color payoff that I can wear it alone without any other lip product, which is amazing! That said, the red tone is quite bold, so it doesn't work as well for a bare-faced, no-makeup look. As you'd expect from a lip balm, it does transfer onto masks a bit. I love how this lip balm has the perfect amount of moisture and delivers such beautiful color payoff I haven't been using it for long, but when I twisted the lip balm, it wouldn't retract back into the tube
