I always thought of Nars as just a color cosmetics brand because their blush is so famous, but their base makeup products are really impressive too. It's perfect for carrying around as a touch-up product for quick makeup fixes throughout the day, and it's great for those rushed mornings when I just need to quickly cover up after sunscreen. This product does provide sun protection coverage, but when I apply it directly without a primer, it feels a bit patchy, so I do need to use a primer or base underneath. The coverage is solid, and since it's a cushion formula, it adheres really well to the skin and doesn't shift around. I've mostly used cushion compacts from Korean brands, but Nars is definitely a winner too. Since this was just a sample, the cushion got a bit loose and messy right away. I absolutely love that the ingredients are so clean and gentle - that's my number one reason for repurchasing. Plus, the formula barely breaks down or separates throughout the day, which is my second favorite thing about it. I've already bought the refill! The coverage isn't as full as I'd hoped for. I switched from another aqua cushion and I'm absolutely blown away by how beautifully it captures color! When I use it with a fixer, the compatibility is incredible - no darkening, amazing coverage, and the finish is just stunning! Among NARS bases, this one gives me the most flattering skin tone. It's a bit nerve-wracking to use during application, and honestly, the price makes my hands shake a little. I switched over from the same line powder foundation, and this one feels lighter and more hydrating. The department store associate mentioned it has better coverage than powder foundation, but I'd say it's comparable or slightly less. That said, it's perfect for a lighter application. I have sensitive, atopic-prone skin and it works great for me. I've been repurchasing it regularly. The price point is quite high, and because of the cushion formula, it runs out faster than powder foundation. My skin is very dry, so if I don't prep my base well enough, it can look a bit patchy. I've been using NARS Aqua Glow Cushion for a while, and when I heard a new version came out, I decided to give it a try. Anyone who uses NARS cushions knows exactly what I mean—we love it for that signature luminous, transparent finish it gives the skin. The trade-off is that it doesn't offer much coverage, so concealer is a must if you want to hide blemishes. They say this new formula has better coverage than the original Aqua Glow, but honestly I can't tell much difference there. What I absolutely adore is how comfortable my skin feels after application and how it stays hydrated throughout the day without drying out. Even though I have combination skin and it's winter, the formula doesn't break down or look patchy—it just seems to melt into the skin as time goes on. That's why I'm so happy with it! If your skin is dry or flaky, those areas will be emphasized when you apply it. But if you prep your skin with hydration first and then apply it, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky—it blends smoothly and gives a clean, radiant finish.
