The minty freshness really hits your scalp and makes you feel like your hair is getting such a thorough, clean wash! The ingredients are really disappointing... The formula has a clear, lightweight texture. What really impressed me is how much lather it creates! The cooling sensation feels amazing, and it genuinely helps control oily hair. I love how refreshing it feels! It does feel a bit tight on the scalp, which seems to be unavoidable with scalp shampoos. But the good news is it comes with a treatment, so that helps! Keep away from eyes!

Even nioxin shampoo isn't that great with sulfates and parabens in it. But after washing my hair with this, I was surprised to see my scalp wasn't red or inflamed at all. It's interesting because even though the ingredient list isn't perfect, my scalp feels way less irritated. I usually get a lot of heat buildup on my scalp and tend to avoid products with menthol since I don't love that cooling sensation, but this nioxin shampoo has such a refreshing, pleasant feel to it. The scent smells like toothpaste because of the menthol, but once I dry my hair with conditioner, the smell completely fades away. I thought the shampoo would be one of those clear, pinkish gel types that doesn't lather much, so I didn't expect much and actually used more than I normally would. But wow, this stuff really foams up! The moment I apply it to my hair, I get this rich, creamy lather that feels incredibly soft and luxurious. I wasn't expecting such a gentle feel from something with strong cleansing power, and I thought it might feel stiff, but it actually cleanses so smoothly. When I rinse it out, I get that satisfying squeaky-clean finish. I was surprised because it's so soft, but the rinse-off feel is actually that nice, squeaky clean sensation. Since I have oily hair, I really prefer that squeaky-clean finish because it makes me feel like my hair is truly clean. If you only use the shampoo, your hair might feel a bit stiff. For people with dry hair, the shampoo alone might not be enough, but for someone with oily hair like me, this is absolutely perfect. I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredient formula. Since I don't have much hair volume and have fine hair, I try to avoid ingredients that aren't good for hair loss. The volume definitely stays put, and I noticed a slight boost in hair moisture. My hair is naturally super fine and limp, but now my roots have a bit of lift to them, you know? My previously droopy strands actually look somewhat normal now... It's a huge change for me! The fragrance is strong, and there's a bit of stiffness to it. I think I'll need to use the conditioner from the same line together with this to really see the best results. Make sure to give your scalp a thorough massage. Extend your shampooing time to about 3 minutes with a good massage, then rinse well. That's when you'll really get that thinning effect they talk about.

My hair felt incredibly clean, almost squeaky clean. Even though it left my strands feeling a bit stiff, they still had this beautiful shine and movement to them. I noticed a refreshing cooling sensation, and I realized it's because of the menthol in the formula. It leaves your scalp feeling so fresh and invigorated. The scent is quite artificial and chemical-smelling, which is a bit off-putting. Thankfully, the smell fades away after shampooing, so it's not a deal-breaker. But during the initial wash, it can be a little bothersome.
