I prefer spraying it over applying it directly, but there are definitely pros and cons. The tricky part is controlling how much comes out, and sometimes the product doesn't spray well, so you really have to shake it thoroughly before each use—that's the biggest drawback for me. The scent reminds me of baby powder. When I use it on both sides, the fragrance comes through pretty strong. When you spray it, there are white particles that settle down, so I'd recommend clearing away any expensive products nearby and spraying it in the bathroom to avoid mess.
