I was using a product that wasn't even a spray, but it had such an overpowering spray scent that I thought I'd get sick if I kept using it. So I was just browsing to buy anything else when I found this product. If the fragrance is nice, that's a bonus, but honestly, I just needed something without that spray smell, so I would've been happy with any scent honestly! But this product's fragrance actually passes the test! I was worried because people said the men's skin toner scent is strong, but it's not an unpleasant smell at all. When you first spray it, the scent might feel a bit intense, but once you go outside and move around, a lot of it dissipates, so you get just a subtle, lovely fragrance lingering here and there! I bought it based only on Olive Young reviews since it wasn't listed on the app. It seems like a product men use, and people said it holds well even on wavy hair, so I decided to try it. I was worried because the name has 'shine' in it—what if it looks all sticky and shiny? But it's fine even for bangs! At first I thought, is it a bit shiny? But once you comb through it, your hair looks fresh and clean! When you spray it, it's not like a soft fixer that hardens, but if you comb right away, there's no stiffness at all. Even after some time, it doesn't harden like a spray would, so you can comb through it gently without any pain—it stays completely soft! Since it's water-type, it washes out easily in water too. On days when I wash my hair two or three times, I sometimes just rinse with conditioner, and it washes out really well! The spray force is great! I hate that spitting, sputtering feeling, so I was actually considering getting a spray-type instead, but while it's not a complete mist spray, it sprays quite finely! The amount is easy to control! Even when I spray a lot in the same spot, it doesn't clump when I comb through it, so it's fine! The most important thing—holding power! It passes! I used to go around with a flat iron for waves, then switched to a curling iron, and the staying power was... ugh... As soon as I stepped outside, it would fall apart, and I thought I'd need to switch the iron again. My hair is naturally thin, so the holding power was really serious. I tried using a fixer, and I wish I'd used it sooner, honestly. I was always frustrated in summer because my curls would fall apart constantly, but this summer I'll worry less about my hair thanks to this product! The day I first used it after buying happened to be rainy, and the waves I made with the curling iron actually survived the rain! It did loosen a bit from the shape I had when I left home, but it held up satisfyingly! And you don't even need to spray a huge amount super carefully—it holds well anyway! It's just okay, but if I had to pick something, it does get a bit stiff? I tested several products and filtered out anything even slightly stiff, but since the tester hardened and I couldn't test it, I ended up buying this one. I think I made a good choice buying this product since soft products apparently don't have great holding power! It depends on the ingredients though. There was another product with just one fragrance ingredient that wasn't great, and this one isn't great either. I checked after purchasing it. People say if you spray it before using the curling iron and then use the iron, the hold lasts even better! I always spray before and after anyway, so I'm not sure about the difference, but if you spray before and then again after, the hold definitely works well! For bangs, after you set them in a curl, give it one quick spray, dry it, and then comb through—it finishes naturally and is so convenient!
