I decided to try argan oil as my final moisturizing step to lock in hydration and protect my skin barrier. Scent: The fragrance isn't overpowering, but there's a subtle nutty aroma. I only notice it briefly when I warm it between my hands before applying it to my face, and then it's barely noticeable. Texture and Application: When I used jojoba oil from another brand before, it had a yellowish tint and felt quite heavy. This one is completely clear, lightweight, and applies so smoothly it doesn't feel like oil at all. Since I really dislike that greasy feeling because of my breakout-prone skin, I just use one drop, warm it in my palms, and press it gently onto my face like I'm creating a protective veil. It applies beautifully thin and doesn't feel oily at all—it's absolutely perfect. Breakouts: I had high hopes for this argan oil since everyone raves about it and the application felt great, but it either doesn't work with my skin or I couldn't get my skin's moisture balance right. It's pricey for the amount you get, though I understand argan oil itself is expensive, and since this is an organic certified product, I think using a smaller quantity to make it more affordable is a smart approach. Important: You absolutely must control how much you use! A single drop makes a huge difference. After using argan and rosehip oils for a long time, I've noticed that up to two drops, argan oil feels cleaner and lighter than rosehip. But when I used three drops, while I didn't get breakouts, it felt more oily than the rosehip I'd used before, which actually made the experience less pleasant. You need to find the right amount for your skin, and honestly, even for dry skin, using more than five drops of any oil straight can trigger problems.
