My sons have severe acne-prone, oily skin, and I have sensitive skin with dark spots. All four of us in the family use this product now. If you just apply it and wash it off right away, the results aren't as impressive. But when I leave it on for a while before rinsing, the difference is amazing. My sons' acne has cleared up completely, and my dark spots have faded noticeably. After cleansing, it feels like I've taken off a heavy winter coat that was covering everything up. My skin feels incredibly clean and smooth. It's become so much clearer too. I've never experienced this level of smoothness before. The brightening power is fantastic, and the hydration is outstanding. The key is to apply a generous amount, massage it in, wait for a good while, and then rinse thoroughly. That's when you really see how much clearer your skin becomes.
Since it's a fermented product, my son didn't close the lid properly, and the product oxidized slightly where it was exposed. There was some browning, which makes sense for a fermented formula. Even so, after wiping it off, there were no issues using it. I've noticed that when you use a cleansing sponge, it works great, but if you don't wash the sponge regularly and just leave it sitting, mold can develop. I think it's because this lactic acid cleansing product is so nutrient-rich that it creates an environment where mold thrives.
When you apply the deep cleansing product, let it sit for a good amount of time, and then wipe it off, your skin feels incredibly smooth and refined. After wiping off the deep cleansing product with a sponge, if you freeze the sponge between uses, it won't develop mold. I noticed that regular cleansing products never developed mold no matter how much I used them, probably because they contain preservatives. Anyway, when using this deep cleansing product, I highly recommend using a soft sponge. Just make sure to freeze the sponge after each use. This method is honestly the best tip for getting the longest life out of your sponge. I've tried air-drying it too, but mold still developed inside the sponge.
