True to the brand's reputation for extending base makeup wear, this primer really delivers on its promise. It glides on smoothly like an emulsion, creating a seamless coating that blurs fine lines and minimizes pores while evening out your skin texture. When you layer foundation or cushion on top, your complexion looks absolutely flawless. Since my T-zone tends to get oily and my makeup usually breaks down there after a few hours, I'm thrilled that this primer keeps everything in place and looking fresh throughout the day. The main drawbacks are that it's not readily available at most Olive Young locations, and the ingredient list isn't as clean as I'd prefer.

Pore Coverage When I'm shopping for a primer, how well it covers pores is definitely something I pay close attention to. And honestly... there's a reason this one sells so well. Does it live up to the hype? Absolutely. My skin is dry with naturally small pores, so I don't usually use matte primers like this one—I stick with glossy finishes. But for really important occasions, I make an exception... especially for my nose area. The difference is really noticeable. 2. Staying Power And then there's the longevity that comes with it! Of course it's great. There's definitely a reason I save this for special days. 3. Performance After using this product, when I layer foundation or cushion on top, it's like the primer amplifies all the best qualities of those base products, you know? "It covers pores so well..." haha Even when my makeup breaks down throughout the day, if I use just this primer alone versus without it, there's a huge difference. It genuinely breaks down more beautifully. This is the real deal. I've been using this for over six months before writing this review. I've tried several other brands (Clio, Banila Co, Benefit, Etude House, etc.), and when I weigh everything together—price, feel, performance—Urban Decay's this product wins hands down. The next best would be... well, performance-wise, Benefit is solid, but the price point is rough. The ingredient list is disappointing, as expected. Honestly, it's hard to expect premium ingredients from drugstore primers these days. That's pretty much true for most makeup products though... Coverage! Skin finish when the base is applied! Longevity! I want it all! If you're looking for all three, you'll have to compromise on ingredients... unfortunately.

Since I was already using a setting spray regularly, I thought using them together would be even better! True - Benefit vs Urban Decay Comparison True - Benefit Arrow - It has a thicker cream texture, so you need to tap it on your hand first before blending it out. Every now and then it can feel a bit heavy and drag slightly. However, the skin-smoothing effect and lasting power are really impressive. The price is quite high for the amount you get. True - Urban Decay Arrow - The lightweight emulsion formula spreads smoothly, which is a huge plus! The makeup adhesion and staying power are excellent. I'd definitely repurchase! It works even better when paired with Urban Decay's setting spray! You get more product for your money compared to Benefit. True - Overall Thoughts True - There is a scent, but I can't quite pinpoint what it is exactly. That said, it's not bothersome at all! And it smells different from the setting spray (don't worry!). True - The texture is a lightweight emulsion! True - It applies smoothly, absorbs quickly, and leaves your skin feeling fresh and matte! True - Your makeup really stays put and lasts all day long! True - Even in this heat and humidity, there's barely any makeup transfer under my mask (I included photos!). True - Out of 20 potentially irritating ingredients, only 2 are present, plus zero known allergens. Yes, I recommend it Arrow - If your makeup tends to shift and separate throughout the day Arrow - If you're concerned about pores and uneven texture Arrow - If your makeup doesn't last as long as you'd like No - The downside Arrow - Both Benefit and Urban Decay have this issue, so it seems impossible to get completely clean ingredients. That said, I haven't experienced any irritation or breakouts, and I'm really happy with how I'm using it!
