I received this cream as a gift and I'm absolutely loving it. It has a rich, balm-like texture that spreads like a dream and absorbs beautifully into the skin. My complexion looks noticeably better the next morning. Since I have dry skin, I really appreciate how long-lasting the hydration is, and the best part is there's zero stickiness. My skin is extremely dry with zero natural oil production and incredibly sensitive, so I only avoid skin irritation when I use OSTML Plus. Even in the middle of summer, I had to reapply OSTML Plus constantly because my skin was so parched. When the weather got colder recently, no matter how much I applied, my skin kept feeling tight and uncomfortable. That's when I decided to try this product, hoping for something more intensely hydrating. I bought this based on the "for very dry skin" label, but it pulls so tight it feels like my skin might tear. I'm dealing with skin irritation, so I cleanse with water and immediately apply cream multiple times, but this cream is so drying that my skin turns red and even stings. Very dry skin needs some oil content to feel balanced, but this is way too matte. You really shouldn't use the term "for very dry skin" on a product like this. It feels like I just washed my face and applied nothing at all, with that awful tight, tearing sensation. This is honestly the driest cream I've ever tried. After applying it, my skin gets so dry that my cheeks turn bright red within just two hours. How is this supposed to be for very dry skin? For skin like mine that produces zero natural oils and is extremely dry, this product has far too little moisture and feels way too matte, leaving my skin feeling tight and parched. I've been using this product for just over 3 months now. My child developed heat rash and some skin irritation that looked like eczema during the summer, so I started using it then. If you don't like thick, heavy-feeling products, I wouldn't recommend this one. But honestly, when my skin is acting up, I apply a generous amount before bed, and when I wake up, it's noticeably calmer! It provides excellent soothing as a baseline, and it seems to help with inflammation too. That's probably because it really strengthens and supports your skin barrier so well. For me personally, I wish it were just a little bit creamier. When you squeeze it out, it feels like it might harden, but once you apply it, it actually spreads really well, so you can cover a large area with just a small amount. I didn't experience any irritation, and I used it throughout the day and night whenever I needed it. The results are definitely impressive. Since I mainly apply it to my child, whenever they get dry skin or breakouts after starting school, they need to apply it themselves. So I divide it into smaller bottles and put them in their bag. I have such a love-hate relationship with Zeroid, and looking back at my previous reviews, there was definitely a time when I was obsessed with it. I thought I'd never buy it again, but curiosity got the better of me and I ended up purchasing it anyway. And honestly, the ointment is absolutely perfect for my skin! First of all, it really tackles my dehydrated skin underneath so well. I was worried that Zeroid would be too drying for me, but I'm absolutely loving it. My makeup applies beautifully over it, and the texture spreads like butter. There's definitely some richness to it, but the final finish really depends on which toner or essence I use underneath. I'm currently using it with a hyaluronic acid toner and pine needle essence, and I'm noticing that the little bumps from my underlying dehydration are gradually calming down. Based on my experience in October (autumn): Real Barrier Intensive Cream - very heavy for my dehydrated skin Physiogel DMT Cream - still feels too thick, causes shine BioHeal-B Panthenol Cream - too lightweight, doesn't address my dehydration I'm planning to keep using Zeroid for now (documenting this for myself to review next year) I'm not getting that finish I fell in love with Zeroid for. The Zeroid soothing cream, soothing emulsion, and intensive emulsion all had such a lovely, powdery finish that I adored, but this formula feels heavier and leaves a slight shine, so it doesn't seem to work well for all skin types. I have combination skin and I absolutely love how smoothly this applies! My skin feels so much stronger and firmer now. I'm completely obsessed with this product! Even though my skin normally gets oily throughout the day, this keeps it completely matte and shine-free. There's really nothing to complain about, but if I had to pick something, I wish the texture was a bit lighter and more fluid.
