During pregnancy, I suddenly started breaking out with blemishes everywhere, so I dug through my old skincare stash and found Xymogen, which I used to rely on when my acne was really bad. I'm so relieved that the brand still has an active website and the product is still available for purchase!!!! I've tried so many brands trying to clear my skin, experimenting on my own face like a lab rat, but I remember how Xymogen calmed down all those irritating blemishes without any harshness. That's why I reached for it again! Application - With its watery toner texture, you can soak a cotton pad and use it as a mask, or spread it all over your face while chanting "blemishes, calm down" as you apply it. Some people might not love the scent, but it has a natural fragrance that I found totally fine. Absorption - Being a watery toner, it sinks in quickly, and after about a minute, you can move on to your emulsion. Results - Works amazingly on blemishes and acne!!! It really tones down the redness from inflamed breakouts. You'll notice a difference within a week!!! Personal experiment complete!!! Since it's a watery toner, when you use it on a cotton pad, you end up going through it pretty fast and before you know it, the bottle is empty. But it's so good for preventing blemishes that I can't stop using it. Houttuynia Cordata Serum Mask - Soak a thin cotton pad and apply it like a sheet mask.
