I've been using this for about 4 years. When my skin suddenly started feeling parched underneath, I tried various products before finding this one. I use it year-round, but I adjust how much I apply depending on the season. In spring and fall, I apply a generous amount before bed, but during those milder seasons I sometimes use just enough to feel like it's there. In summer, I keep it light with just the right amount, and in winter, I really load it on. While this product alone isn't a complete solution, I used to frequently wake up with my skin feeling uncomfortably tight and dry. After using this, that's gotten so much better. The texture is quite rich and sticky, but it spreads beautifully across the skin. It seems to work well for all skin types. Because the formula is so rich and sticky, it can get on your pillowcase and bedding without meaning to, which is a bit inconvenient. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. If you're experiencing that uncomfortable tight, parched feeling like I was, I'd recommend layering a toner first, then using an emulsion, a hydrating cream, and a nourishing oil cream. From my personal experience, when your skin is extremely dry, it helps to use products without glycerin or with very little of it. I have dry and sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts. Even though this has a thick, ointment-like texture, it applies smoothly without feeling heavy, and I haven't experienced any irritation. After applying it at night, my skin stays hydrated all the way until morning, making it perfect as a winter night cream. I originally got a sample by chance, but I loved it so much that I ended up purchasing the full size. I wish the full-size version came in a tube instead. Since the formula stretches easily like an ointment, a tube would be so much more convenient to use. It feels too rich and heavy for summer use.
