I picked this up from Hwahae and wanted to share my honest thoughts! The Peripera Ink the Velvet line has so many reviews out there that choosing a shade was actually pretty tough, but once I got it, I absolutely loved how it applied. It went on so smoothly! I'm not entirely sure if it's just because my lips tend to be on the drier side or if it's just how this tint formula works, but I find myself layering a lip balm on top after applying it most of the time. This shade has pretty intense color payoff, so it can read quite bold and red depending on how you apply it. I'd say just adjust how much product you use based on how much of a statement you want your lips to make, and you'll be all set!

No filter plus unretouched photo! I use this with lip oil to smooth over any dry patches, and honestly, the color itself is absolutely gorgeous—I find myself reaching for it constantly. Peripera's Tint Glow is nice too, but the Velvet version is so versatile and delivers exactly the shade I was looking for. If you're on the fence about this, just go for it! There is some visible texture, so if you're bothered by dry patches showing through, I wouldn't recommend this one. This pink-red shade is perfect for cool and deep cool undertones! Since it has a matte finish, filling in your lips completely with it can make you look older.

The color saturation is higher than I expected, and it has this beautifully cool undertone that's just stunning. The staying power is a bit disappointing for me. This lipstick applies with such rich, intense color! The pigmentation is really impressive and builds beautifully. I found it works wonderfully as a statement lip, and what surprised me most is how it feels surprisingly creamy and moisturizing for a matte formula. Since this is a matte lipstick, I'd definitely recommend exfoliating your lips beforehand. Without that prep step, I noticed the formula can emphasize any dry patches or flakiness on the lips.

I'm obsessed with vibrant colors, so I usually layer a cool-toned pink lip as my base and then apply this shade just on the inner part of my lips. The color itself is absolutely gorgeous and everything about it is great, but you really need to be careful with how much you use. It does tend to emphasize dry patches a bit, though the design has that classic Peripera vibe so it doesn't bother me much. It's not completely transfer-proof, but it does wash off pretty easily. 1. Transfers and smudges, but washes off easily 2. Application control is absolutely essential! If you're not careful with how much product you pick up, it can look like you borrowed your mom's lipstick 3. Watch out for dry patches

The fragrance might feel a bit strong to some, but I didn't mind it at all. I have a feeling I'll be reaching for this constantly throughout fall and winter. I'm using this product happily and satisfied with it, so there's really nothing I'd change about it.

The color is absolutely stunning - it's like a pink-red mixed with wine tones? Honestly, I'd highly recommend this to anyone with cool undertones. My boyfriend has been complimenting me non-stop since I started wearing it! The shade is gorgeous, but it's quite pigmented, so you really need to be careful with how much you apply. If you're not precise, it can look overdone. Make sure to use a brush for application.
