Double cleansing usually irritates my face, but this product makes me feel so much more confident about my routine. The lather is lovely and full, and the scent is subtle without being off-putting. It's honestly one of those products that seems to work well for just about everyone. It's a gel cleanser, but interestingly it has exfoliating particles in it. This cleanser contains rice bran powder, and those white granules are fantastic for treating whiteheads and exfoliating dead skin. With a pH of 4.6-6.6, it's gently acidic, so even sensitive and dry skin can use it without any irritation. While foam cleansers tend to leave skin feeling tight and parched after washing, this Starlike White Pore Gel Cleanser is a gentle gel formula that doesn't leave that uncomfortable tightness or dryness behind. I was honestly worried that something this mild wouldn't remove makeup effectively, but after testing it, I was pleasantly surprised. While it doesn't create tons of lather, a little gentle rolling motion completely removes makeup. I tested it with tint, lipstick, and mascara from left to right, and everything came off beautifully. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin that tends to get flaky, or anyone who hates that tight, dry feeling after cleansing off their makeup. The scent is barely noticeable, so if you're someone who really loves fragrance in your skincare, this might not be your cup of tea.
