I was searching for makeup primers when I discovered something with an intriguing name at Sephora! Tarte Double Duty Beauty Base Tape Hydrating Primer. That's quite a mouthful! I was immediately drawn to the word "tape" - the idea that it would adhere to my skin like tape really appealed to me, so I decided to give it a try. The texture flows smoothly and is incredibly hydrating. It applies so beautifully and effortlessly. There's absolutely no tightness or dryness whatsoever. What really impressed me most was the lovely coconut scent that lingered throughout application - it smelled amazing! This Tarte primer delivers a luminous, dewy finish and is wonderfully smooth and moisturizing, which has been such a game-changer for my dry skin.
To be honest, I prioritize brightening effects, but this Tarte primer seems more focused on smoothing the skin texture rather than providing tone correction or covering blemishes. If I'd tested it in-store first, I might not have chosen it.
