This is my third bottle... As someone with dry skin, I've tried all the popular products out there, but nothing compares to this. It's so good that it even convinced my mom, who used to swear by expensive department store cosmetics, to switch to Aesop. Like all Aesop droppers, it tends to separate easily.. You need to handle it with care. For best results, apply this followed by Aesop's Perfect Cream, then use a beauty device to help it absorb thoroughly into your skin. It works wonders! - gk*****RecommendedMay 3, 2025
It's not too oily and absorbs well even when mixed with cream. It's a great hydrating treatment that's suitable for people who don't tolerate vitamin-based products well. Initially, it might appear slightly yellow when applied due to the carrot extract, but this isn't a major issue. In fact, over time, it effectively strengthens hydration in areas prone to redness, like the cheeks, without causing irritation. Aesop's creams, known for their lack of emulsifiers, can sometimes leave a white cast when rubbed in, more so than other typical creams. However, when used together with this product, that effect is noticeably reduced. - la***************Combination SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 19, 2024
This product has become my daily go-to due to its powerful hydration and long-lasting effects. It's versatile enough to fit into any step of your skincare routine. As always, I find that Aesop's lesser-known products are truly exceptional. While it's not exactly a budget-friendly option, which can make me hesitate before purchasing, I ultimately can't resist picking it up. Any regrets about the price tag quickly become irrelevant... - vu****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 13, 2024
Unlike other oils that make me itchy and cause blemishes, this one tackles deep dryness without any irritation. I'm seriously considering buying the full-size product. The catch seems to be that it's quite pricey for the amount you get... I'm currently using it layered with an emulsion. - sh*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 12, 2023
It deeply hydrates dry skin. After using this and sleeping, my skin looks great and makeup applies smoothly. I initially received it as a gift from a friend, but it's become an oil I now purchase for myself because I love it so much. The downside is that it's quite pricey for such a small amount. However, it's very effective and since I only use it at night, it lasts quite a while. My face turns yellow immediately after application, but it settles down after a short while. I only use it in my evening skincare routine. - si******Combination SkinRecommendedApr 16, 2022
So there I was, chatting away on a café terrace when I felt my face getting sunburned. Even though this product isn't specifically for sun protection, I kind of impulse-bought it. I guess the promise of 'skin recovery' got me. I didn't even check the price until I was at the register - that was a bit of a shock! But let me tell you, that night I only used my toner and this, and wow, it was worth every penny! My forehead had been a bit rough and bumpy lately, probably due to excess oil, but after just one use, it was smooth as can be! I'll likely repurchase. The staff recommended using it every 2-3 days, not daily, so it should last a while despite the small amount. The price is a bit steep, but I suppose you get what you pay for in terms of effectiveness. The scent isn't particularly pleasant, which is often the case with carrot-based products. Also, they say using the oil alone gives better results, but it's quite thick and doesn't spread evenly when used by itself. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2021
I have very dry skin. I usually rely on Physiogel year-round, but this winter was exceptionally dry, so I gave this a try. I love how it absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky, leaving a clean yet substantial feel. The fragrance is lovely too! The quantity is too small. It's a bit disappointing that the volume is low compared to the price. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 4, 2021
I used to avoid face oils due to redness and itching, but this one was absolutely different. After exfoliating, my deep dryness, dead skin cells, and sensitivity worsened, so I got a consultation from an Aesop employee who recommended this product along with the Parsley Seed Serum. Initially, I mixed this oil with the Parsley Seed Serum, but recently I've started combining it with the Lucent Serum. When I apply it at night, I wake up with a brighter complexion, reduced deep dryness, and surprisingly, my super sensitive skin didn't react at all. The price is the downside... It's an expensive oil that costs $80 for 25ml even in Australia. It's so pricey that I probably won't repurchase it, despite its benefits. If you mix it with Aesop's Lucent Serum, your face will brighten up the next day. If you want to address deep dryness, try mixing it with the Parsley Seed Serum. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2021
I slathered this on generously before bed, and woke up with baby-soft skin the next morning! I even woke up my whole family to feel how smooth my skin was - they all agreed it's amazing! This is truly a holy grail product that makes dermatologist visits unnecessary. I plan to use this for life. You absolutely must try it! Be careful not to get the yellow oil-based product on your clothes! It's best to apply this before bed on days when your skin feels dry or irritated. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 3, 2021
Ugh—with dry skin, tingling, redness, and even eczema flaring up whenever my skin's not at its best, I always keep oil on hand. This is the best oil I've ever used. I love everything about it—the texture, scent, how it absorbs, and the results. True to Aesop's style, the price of this tiny bottle never fails to shock me every time I check it.
