Great product for applying with cotton pads or directly with your hands Can't really say it improves my skin. Feels a bit disappointing considering the price..!! - tk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedNov 16, 2023
I used this product without really thinking about whether it was good or just okay, but looking back, it was a great essence. It's one of those products you find yourself wanting to repurchase after finishing a bottle. It's a lightweight ampoule essence that absorbs well, slightly more substantial than a toner. If you're in the mood for an essence or ampoule but don't want anything too heavy, I highly recommend this product. Given that it works well even for my sensitive, acne-prone skin, it seems to be a gentle product. I definitely recommend it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 6, 2023
It's great as a toner substitute. When applied, it feels moisturizing and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight. The consistency is more like a toner rather than an essence, so using this alone isn't quite enough. I applied it once with a cotton pad, then patted on another layer with my hands. - lo**********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2023
The texture is incredibly rich and packed with hydration, which I absolutely loved! It worked so well that I even gifted it to my younger sister and older sister. Despite having oily and super sensitive skin, it suited me perfectly. The downside is that it feels a bit sticky during summer, unfortunately. As someone with oily skin, it's wonderfully fresh and suitable in winter, but it felt quite heavy for summer use. - go*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJul 5, 2023
I initially used this as a sample product. I wasn't part of The Hwahae Testers, but rather a Hwahae survey group, I believe. After my family tried it and liked it, we decided to repurchase. 1. Texture It has a light, water-like consistency. I usually use serums with a thin cream texture, but this water-based one is sufficiently hydrating and pleasant. 2. Scent On first use, there was a somewhat strong herbal scent, which made me think it might be a natural concept product. However, after a few uses, the scent became more subtle. It seems to be strongest only upon first opening. Personally, I don't prefer strong fragrances, but I found this comfortable to use. 3. Effectiveness Normally, I only apply moisturizer, but using this serum first definitely increases hydration (which makes sense, of course). My family members who use it say their complexion has brightened, so it seems to have a brightening effect. As mentioned earlier, the initial scent can be strong. Those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit off-putting at first. Being water-based, it's quite runny and gets used up quickly. This was my first water-based serum, so I tried applying it with a cotton pad a few times, like an exfoliating toner. Don't do that! While the texture is similar, it feels a bit harsh when used as an exfoliating toner. Surprisingly, it's very hydrating when applied normally. - le**********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedMay 25, 2023
I love it! I use it as a spray after toner. I pour it into a spray bottle and mist it on my face. Usually, I apply it twice, or once if I'm feeling lazy. It provides decent hydration and absorbs well into the skin. The packaging... The contents seem like a toner, but it's not suitable for use with cotton pads. It's too watery, so you have to pour it into your hands, but then it's unclear whether to apply it to your hands or face... It's a bit ambiguous, you know? I think it would be better if it came in a spray bottle. I just buy an empty spray bottle from Daiso and transfer the product into it. This works great for formulas with a water-like consistency that come in inconvenient packaging. It's so much easier to use, and I find myself reaching for it more often! - ek****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 11, 2023
I received this as a survey prize. I like that it comes in paper packaging. The expiration date is 26/03/19, which is plenty of time. It claims to improve skin barrier, elasticity, and reduce wrinkles. I've been using it for a month in my night routine - toner, soothing gel, essence, emulsion, and cream - alternating with my vitamin C serum for about two weeks. The scent is very subtle, almost unnoticeable - probably just the natural fragrance of the ingredients, which I prefer as I'm not a fan of strong scents. It's sufficiently hydrating, so I only need to apply a tiny bit of cream afterwards. The texture is similar to the toner, but it leaves my skin feeling more supple. Overall, I'm happy with this product! I haven't noticed much improvement in my pores or wrinkles. Still, I plan to continue using it. Also, the opening is small and the formula is watery, so you need to be careful when dispensing to control the amount. Its toner-like consistency makes it convenient for use as a mask too. - ww*********Combination SkinRecommendedMay 5, 2023
I have pigmentation issues and combination dehydrated skin! I've been consistently doing a daily mask routine. After using this newly released essence for two weeks, I found it to be a decent product. It didn't cause any blemishes, and it was pretty standard compared to other products. It wasn't exceptionally hydrating or drying, and I didn't notice any brightening effects. The volume is small, so if you're using it as a daily mask, it might only last about two weeks! In that sense, it's a bit pricey. The design is pretty, so overall, I was satisfied with this decent product. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but it would be nice if it came in a larger size. - dl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2023
After using it, my skin feels plump and bouncy. It's gentle and great for daily use! Personally, I'm using it as an exfoliating toner. The area around the container gets a bit damp after use. Apart from the packaging, I don't have any other complaints about using it. - bi*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2023
It's an essence with a skin-like texture! Recently, my skin has been so dry that I've been getting dead skin cells and whiteheads. You know how applying too much cream can make you worry about causing blemishes, right? This is great for those times! I apply my toner, then layer this on like a toner two or three times, pat it in, and finish with my essence and moisturizer. It's better used as a toner-like product rather than a standalone essence. By adding this to my skincare routine, I've noticed that the hydration lasts well into the afternoon! It seems to minimize the appearance of fine lines too. The generous amount means I can use it liberally without worry. For those with dry skin, relying on this alone as an essence might not be enough. It's better to think of it as a secondary essence. It's allergy season, and my nose has been running a lot. I've been applying this frequently around my nose after blowing it. It's great because it doesn't cause blemishes and keeps the area from getting dry.
