True to its name, this lipstick has a velvety texture that's a delight to wear. It's perfect as a base lip color, but it also looks beautiful on its own. I love how it smoothly glides on while filling in lip lines. The pink shade is sophisticated, not tacky at all, making it an excellent choice for those with cool undertones. It doesn't leave any stain on the lips, and if you don't exfoliate well, it won't look pretty at all. - bm******Dry SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 22, 2023
The texture is fantastic, applying thinly like a smooth smudge. The color is beautifully pure and innocent. I didn't realize it was an autumn deep shade when I bought it, so it doesn't suit me that well, unfortunately. - je**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 1, 2022
The design looks like paint splattered on marble - it's absolutely stunning! It applies smoothly without any clumping. Even though I had lip balm on beforehand, there was no pilling or smearing. The color is like a cool pink that's perfect as a daily base lip color. While I was slightly disappointed it wasn't more intense, the shade is so pretty that it's still a win. I love the embossed 'espoir' on the lipstick - it's beautiful! I'll definitely be reaching for this often when I want a base lip color. If only the color was a bit more vibrant... That would have been perfect. I don't usually wear base lip colors, so personally, I find it a bit lacking. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 13, 2022
Appearance: The Espoir No Wear Velvet Washed Pink Collection features a sensational exterior design. The packaging resembles paint splatter, with the lipstick tube showcasing a pale pink tone adorned with a paint-splashed effect. It's not your typical cute or innocent pink, but rather a faded pink that exudes sophistication. Color: 'Washed Berry' is perfect for cool-toned individuals. As a warm-toned person, I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't look out of place on me. It's a pink with a plum undertone, creating an atmospheric berry shade that's not overly bright. I found that applying 'Washed Pink' as a base and then 'Washed Berry' on the inner lips created a cool-toned look that even warm-toned people can pull off. Highly recommend this combination! Texture & Pigmentation: As a longtime fan of the No Wear Velvet line, I can vouch for its texture and pigmentation. While it appears matte, it glides on incredibly smoothly and finishes with a velvety texture. It's not a powdery velvet, but one that adheres perfectly to the lips. The color payoff is excellent too! Longevity: Given its velvety finish, this lipstick does transfer onto masks and doesn't leave much of a stain, so the staying power isn't particularly long. However, this is typical of velvet-finish lipsticks. You'll need to reapply frequently, but the beautiful color makes it worth carrying around for touch-ups. - 22*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 10, 2022
I have cool-toned skin in shade 22. First off, the retro-inspired lipstick packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The main color seems to be a washed-out pale pink, and the Washed Berry shade is definitely a muted berry hue. It glides on smoothly and true to the velvet line, it finishes with a soft, powdery feel! I loved how it applied effortlessly without emphasizing dead skin cells. I think this would be perfect for cool-toned individuals to wear as spring approaches. As expected with lipsticks, it doesn't have much staining power, so it tends to wear off significantly after eating. While the engraved Espoir logo is beautiful, it's a shame that it fades away quickly with use. The velvety finish of the formula makes it work beautifully as a blush too, giving a subtle, pretty flush rather than an overly intense color.
