br****Combination SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 21, 2022This cream really solves deep skin dryness. The firming effect is incredibly satisfying. Unlike typical night creams that can leave pores enlarged the next morning when applied heavily, this one doesn't have that issue - which is great. I purchased this at a department store #MyOwnMoney Packaging: Glass bottle to protect active ingredients - thumbs up. Silver cap on the night cream to distinguish it from the day cream - thoughtful touch. Due to the heavy glass bottle, I place it on my vanity and use a spatula to scoop out the product, rather than trying to open it with both hands. Texture & Fragrance: Pure white cream that applies smoothly without feeling too rich or heavy. The scent is slightly lighter compared to the discontinued previous version. Synergy with Serum & Capsules: Applies smoothly over hyaluronic acid capsules without pilling, absorbing quickly. You can feel the hydration spreading and sinking into the skin after application. Experienced a firming effect about 10 minutes after lying down. Works well with other brand serums too, without causing any blemishes. I was puzzled that the night cream costs $10 more than the day cream. Checking the US website, I found the night cream is indeed pricier there too. While it has slightly more potentially irritating ingredients than the day cream, it also has some beneficial ingredients not found in the day cream. Most importantly, they've significantly reduced the number of potentially harmful ingredients compared to the discontinued ceramide cream. Focusing on skin regeneration at night really changes how your skin looks the next day. In winter especially, I apply capsules followed by night cream. Even when layering extra cream on dry areas, it doesn't pill. A great feature of Arden creams is that they absorb quickly with just one gentle application - no need for tapping or rubbing. (Some other brands recommend warming the cream between palms and pressing it into skin, but that's mainly for creams with larger particles that don't absorb well on their own.) When I bought this cream at the department store in December 2021, I received a full-size 60-capsule Hyaluronic Acid set as a gift. It was a launch promotion, but I noticed they were still offering it until Lunar New Year when I visited the store recently.
