I don't follow makeup trends religiously, but lately I've fallen in love with warm brown lip colors. I thought I'd share a photo of some similar shades I've been using a lot. Hope this helps my fellow warm-toned beauties! Compared to the Rom&nd Glasting Water Gloss, this one has a much more intense shine. It also seems to have better color payoff - not that it stains, but because you can apply it more thickly, the color shows up more vividly on the lips. In my experience, lip products that stain tend to be more drying and can sometimes lead to cheilitis (just my personal theory). That's why I find these glossier formulas to be gentler on the lips. I haven't worn this one for super long periods outside yet, but so far it's been comfortable. When this came out as a limited edition mini in the "Hip Student, Hip Life" collection, I couldn't resist falling victim to Peripera's marketing. If you like that color but can't handle matte lipsticks, I highly recommend layering this over Romand's Zero Matte Lipstick in "Small Talk" or "Dinto Gloria". It's a bit more saturated, but creates a similarly gorgeous look. Apply this over a moisturizing base and it looks absolutely stunning. The doe-foot applicator also feels nice to use. While I like how the applicator feels, it picks up way too much product. I personally hate getting the opening all messy, so I don't try to control the amount there. Instead, I struggle a bit to apply it evenly... The packaging does have some inconveniences, but it's so unique and pretty that I hesitate to ask for a redesign. This is really just nitpicking - please keep it as is, Odd Type! If I had to find another flaw, maybe the price? It's a balloon tint for the lower lip. While it has some color, it's more of a gloss type without plumping, so I think it'll be great for fall and winter. The staying power is almost non-existent... Since it's a gloss-like texture without staining, it comes off super easily. I'd recommend it for those with a deep undertone. It goes on incredibly sheer on the lips! It might feel a bit dark for Autumn Mute/Soft tones. This shade would look absolutely stunning on Autumn Deep skin tones. - Packaging: The small size makes it great for on-the-go. The short, angled brush applicator glides smoothly on the lips. To prevent leakage, the packaging requires a bit of force to open. Be careful though, as more product comes out than expected, so controlling the amount is crucial! - Color payoff: The photo has been adjusted to match the actual color as closely as possible. This 'Sand Rose' shade is perfect for those with deep undertones! It's a rose color with a hint of coral. When applied to the lips, it appears much softer than in the photo. - Texture: The oil-based formula applies smoothly without stickiness, creating plump-looking lips! The hydration lasts quite long, even in dry weather. This is my go-to tint in this weather. If you're a fan of the 'glow lip' look, you must try this! Despite the leak-proof packaging, it still tends to leak more than other tints. Also, being an oil-based glow lip product, it doesn't stain much. This might be a matter of preference, but I actually liked this aspect. The color is on the softer side, so I often reached for it alone for a natural lip look. Alternatively, you can apply your usual lipstick, blot with a tissue, and then layer this tint on top for a beautiful glossy finish without any pilling. It has a sweet scent, reminiscent of vanilla! The application feels light, like a lip gloss, so layering it multiple times creates a beautiful effect. The brush-type applicator makes it much easier and more convenient to apply. A lot of tint comes out on the applicator tip, so controlling the amount is essential! The tip feels a bit thick, which can be noticeable.
