As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin prone to facial heat, I really appreciate how this product applies lightly and gives a refreshing sensation. I find that when I apply sunscreen in the morning before makeup, it can feel a bit heavy on the skin. I'm also concerned it might be contributing to some blemishes. - sn******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 5, 2025
It's perfect for summer application. The cream feels fresh and cool, and even when you apply two finger-lengths, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. After applying it to my eyelids, my eyes start to feel sensitive after a few hours. The only downside is this eye sensitivity issue. This brightening moisturizer seems to work well for most of the face, absorbing nicely without feeling sticky. However, those with super sensitive skin, especially around the eyes, might want to be cautious. It's great for achieving that summer glow without the heaviness often associated with richer creams. - th*************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 4, 2025
I usually go for the orange font products, but I saw this one in blue and thought 'I have dry skin, are you Aqua? Hydrating? Oh yes!' So I bought it. But for dry skin, the orange font products are actually better. They feel more moisturizing, if you know what I mean... It's supposed to be Aqua, so why does it feel so dry? It doesn't seem to tackle that deep dryness at all. - wl*******Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 15, 2025
Product Features: 1. SPF and PA Rating: Offers high SPF and PA ratings, effectively shielding your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. 2. Lightweight Texture: Most Kiehl's sunscreens have a light consistency that absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky. 3. Hydration: Contains moisturizing ingredients to prevent skin from becoming dehydrated. 4. Suitable for Sensitive Skin: Low irritation formula makes it appropriate for those with super sensitive skin. Advantages: - Superior Protection: Excellent UV defense, ideal for daily use. - Skin Feel: Absorbs without leaving a sticky residue, making it a great base for makeup. - Skin-Friendly: Uses natural ingredients to minimize skin stress. Drawbacks: - Price Point: Tends to be pricier compared to other brands. - Varied Effectiveness: May not suit all skin types, so it's best to test based on your individual skin condition. - hk*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2024
I've been loyal to Kiehl's sunscreen for over a year now. The main reasons I've settled on it are: - It's the best sunscreen I've tried for preventing dark spots ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - It's lightweight and doesn't leave a white cast, making it perfect to apply before makeup (especially works well with matte foundations) The price is the biggest drawback, isn't it? But the benefits are so powerful that I keep buying it despite the cost. Also, when used alone, it can make your skin a bit shiny. A powder finish is a must! For better absorption, spread it with your hands and then gently pat it in with a sponge! - ca**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2024
This is a product I apply before makeup! It's an organic sunscreen that doesn't cause any heat sensation, and I haven't experienced any blemishes so far. When I apply it, it feels like it's tidying everything up and coating my skin, so I love using it before makeup. It really helps my makeup adhere well! While there's nothing disappointing about the product's performance, the price is a bit on the higher side. - hs***Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 18, 2024
Holy grail sunscreen!! Absorbs like a dream. Definitely repurchasing! The price, the price, the price... It's just way too expensive! - ye*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedAug 6, 2024
I tried this using a large sample. You can feel the capsules in the formula, but when applying it, they dissolve well without causing much irritation. True to its nickname as a 'cooling sunscreen', it feels refreshingly cool when applied to the face, which is great. The cooling effect lasts quite long, making it perfect for summer use. It's not too sticky while providing sufficient hydration and moisture, which is excellent. As expected from Kiehl's... they've nailed the user experience. With sunscreen, the amount applied is crucial, and I found that even with multiple layers, it doesn't pill or slide off. The texture is ideal for men or those with combination dehydrated skin, especially during seasons other than summer. And let's not even start on the sun protection - Kiehl's is Kiehl's after all. The reliable sun protection is what I love most. I wore this to a baseball game and my skin was perfectly fine afterwards. While it's okay if applied very carefully around the eyes, if even a tiny bit gets on your eyelashes and into your eyes, you're in for a day of tears and discomfort. I'm not sure if it's due to the menthol or the chemical sunscreen ingredients, but you really need to be extremely careful when applying around the eyes. Also, while the menthol provides a cooling sensation on the face, it can sting a bit on days when your skin is sensitive. The price is quite high. Although this product has a great feel, there are Japanese alternatives that are cheaper but still offer sufficiently good performance, making it somewhat questionable whether it's worth purchasing. The seasonal suitability is also a bit tricky. It's slightly heavy for summer use and isn't waterproof, which is inconvenient. But for winter, while it provides enough hydration and moisture, the cooling effect is quite strong, potentially making your face feel chilly. It's truly a great product, but falls short in several aspects, hence the 4-star rating... However, if I find myself repurchasing and using it again, I might upgrade it to 5 stars. This product isn't as well-known as Kiehl's orange line, so it seems the value sets are only briefly available during summer. I think the best deal is to keep an eye on department store websites and snag a value set with lots of samples as soon as it becomes available. - sn************Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresAug 1, 2024
I was surprised to find it was white, as I expected it to be transparent since it's a gel type. However, I wasn't satisfied with it. It does have a cooling effect, but rather than feeling refreshingly cool, it makes my face tingle uncomfortably. I don't like it. The value for money is really poor. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 18, 2024
It doesn't feel sticky when applied, and it has a brightening effect that makes my skin look fairer. If not applied carefully, it might make your skin look too pale, and its staying power seems a bit weak.
