Skin type: Dry, Sensitive 💗 Texture It has a salmon-colored texture similar to a brightening moisturizer with SPF. Rather than feeling hydrating, it has a glowy, rich texture. 💗 Tone correction This is my first time using a sun fixer, and I'm not sure how to feel about it... It does even skin tone, but it's a bit shiny, so it might be okay for use on its own. I wouldn't recommend applying makeup over it. ✔️ User experience Unfortunately, the color isn't a great match for me. When applied, it doesn't give a pretty glow but rather looks shiny, which isn't my preferred skin finish. I got to try this product through The Hwahae Testers, and it exceeded my expectations. The pink brightening effect looked natural, instantly making my skin appear brighter. It also had a skin-smoothing effect, so I used it like a primer before makeup. It went on smoothly without pilling, resulting in less foundation or cushion breakdown. When applied in thin layers before touch-ups, it created a clean, bright base. For combination dehydrated skin leaning towards dry, it might feel a bit drying when used alone. Due to its matte finish, on days when my skin wasn't properly prepped, it slightly accentuated dead skin cells. Applying it with light, tapping motions using a puff as the final step of skincare improved its adherence. Using a very thin layer of moisturizer before application helped achieve the brightening effect without flaking. On makeup-free days, I often used this product alone for a lively, polished look. The brightening effect was definitely noticeable... When I first applied it, my complexion certainly looked more radiant. It might be because I don't do proper skincare, but... The product didn't seem to adhere well to my makeup! Especially on humid or hot days, my face felt so uncomfortable that I just wanted to remove my makeup as soon as possible. I wanted it to feel as thin and light as possible, but... it felt like I was wearing a thick mask on my face. I couldn't quite figure out how to use the fixer effectively. While the product did provide a noticeable brightening effect, it fell short in terms of comfort and wearability, particularly in challenging weather conditions. The application is decent, but it sets rather quickly, so you need to work fast! - Skin appearance: Initially, it looks quite bright, but it settles nicely after a while. It feels powdery to the touch, but surprisingly gives a subtle glow to the skin. If you're not a fan of glow, powder is a must! There's hardly any coverage, but it evens out the complexion well. - Longevity: I found it to have good staying power! I've tried it with So Natural's fixer too, but even without it, the product's strong setting power ensures it lasts well. - Great as a foundation-free option! - When I first started using it, it felt like a revolutionary product, but on days when my skin wasn't in good condition, it started pilling right from application. You really need to prep your skin with lots of toner to ensure adequate hydration... - Instead of just rubbing it in with your hands, applying it with a spatula like you would with foundation results in more even tone correction and less pilling! I'd like to share my honest review of the SUN TONE UP FIXX SPF50+ product I recently tried. The positives: The brightening moisturizer effect looks natural, and it suited my skin well when I used it in summer. What really impressed me was how it improved my makeup's staying power. Previously, my makeup would only last about 4 hours, but with this sunscreen, it easily stayed put for 7-8 hours. It wasn't sticky and absorbed well into my skin. The downsides: When I used it in spring, my skin became excessively dry. I have combination dehydrated skin that changes with the seasons, and in spring when my skin tends to be drier, it felt tight and rigid when I applied this. It might not be suitable for those with super sensitive skin. Also, I tend to sweat a lot, and I noticed it seemed to wear off quickly in areas where I perspire. I'd recommend using this more in summer rather than spring. It gently brightens your complexion without being excessive. It applies smoothly and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. As it's made by a company known for good fixers, it has decent staying power. There's a slight dryness, so a good skincare routine is essential. It has a powder-like scent. There's a dry feeling, so you need to do a thorough skincare routine beforehand. It's good though.
