I mixed this with my Espoir foundation and felt like it improved both coverage and staying power. It wasn't drying, which was nice... I'm giving it two stars because there were some good points before my skin reacted badly. Really... My skin had a major reaction. (After 3 days of continuous makeup wear, on the 4th day my skin became red, bumpy, and irritated) For reference, I have sensitive skin that tends to react badly to foundation... When I went to the dermatologist, I was told to avoid wearing makeup and even sunscreen for a while... While I don't have issues with other skincare products, cushion compacts don't cause problems no matter how often I use them, but foundation specifically always seems to upset my skin. Is the universe telling me not to wear makeup..? Key point: It's not that this foundation causes reactions for everyone (X) If you have sensitive skin or are prone to blemishes from clogged pores like me, be cautious when considering this product (O) The reviewer emphasizes that their negative experience may be due to their particularly sensitive skin, rather than a universal issue with the product. After struggling with my previous foundation that didn't sit well, I did thorough research before buying this one, and I'm satisfied that it doesn't separate on my skin. The shade, based on No. 21, isn't too light and provides a nice brightening effect. Even when it starts to wear off, it doesn't break down in an unsightly manner. It seems the color doesn't maintain its initial appearance over extended periods. This is honestly the best foundation I've ever used. On days when I wear it, my friends ask what I've done because my skin looks so amazing. It might be because I have a very yellow undertone, but the color is slightly off - it's a bit of a pinkish-yellow. However, it's still usable. If you apply it little by little with a spatula, your complexion looks incredible.

Honestly... I used to use Laneige foundation, but it was terrible. So I tried Giverny cushion, and it's absolutely amazing!! Then I heard the foundation was even better, so after finishing the cushion, I bought it... It's seriously so good, I want to use this for the rest of my life! Hmm, I was expecting quite good coverage, but it's just average - neither high nor low. Everything else about it is great though! There's nothing else to add! I love that it doesn't darken much from morning to evening, even when applied early in the day. Even when applied with a damp cushion, it sets on the skin rather quickly, making it challenging to spread evenly. The foundation itself is slightly on the dry side, so it tends to crack in winter. However, it was usable during summer.
