The hydration is excellent. The small container makes it easy to carry around. The scent... it smells like cherry cough syrup. Also, the packaging is a bit flimsy. After using it for a while, the twisting mechanism broke, so now it won't go up or down. - rk********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresDec 27, 2022
The best thing about this product is its affordable price, isn't it? I bought it because it reminds me of my childhood. The hydration is quite disappointing. My skin feels dry again soon after application. - pr*******Dry SkinJun 21, 2022
It has a classic, vintage perfume scent. My lips feel protected and it seems to help with skin regeneration. The amount control is a bit disappointing. You might want to apply less than you think and then gently pat it in. - in*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 17, 2022
Overall impression: A staple from my school days. I used this religiously from middle school through high school. It's budget-friendly and easily accessible. The slim design makes it perfect for carrying around. I'd tuck it into my pencil case and apply it frequently. It provides just the right amount of hydration, so there's no pilling when applied before or after tint. You can detect both cherry and cooling scents. It has a refreshing cooling effect. As someone with naturally pale lips, it was like a subtle, translucent lip balm with minimal color payoff. The hydration level is on the lower side. Not recommended for those with a lot of dead skin cells on their lips. Also not suitable if you're uncomfortable with cooling sensations. - ji**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2021
The fragrance is absolutely delightful! It's great that even when men apply it, it doesn't leave an overly red tint. Any downsides? I've been using it for so long that I can't really think of any. Maybe that it transfers onto masks? - pi*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 31, 2021
[A staple product I've used for over 10 years] Great for layering over tint It seems like the texture has become thinner with each renewal. The application is smoother and it adheres better to the lips! Before, it was too thick to apply over makeup, but now it has a great texture for applying after your tint has dried. One-touch dead skin cell care Even when dead skin cells are visibly flaking, one swipe of this makes them settle down as if they were never there. If you wipe with a tissue after, your lips become super smooth. It feels like it can remove all dead skin cells, visible or not. It's much better than most lip masks! Mild menthol sensation When your lips are particularly sensitive or dry, applying this gives a slight cooling sensation that brings life back to your lip skin. Prevents moisture loss For those who find their lips constantly drying out no matter what they do, you must try Chapstick! I've tried almost all the famous lip balms like Nivea and Bepanthol, but none of them lock in moisture as well as this product. A bit light for nighttime use The old Chapstick was super thick and would help peel off dead skin cells overnight, but the new product doesn't do that, which is a bit disappointing. If you're looking for something similar to the old Chapstick, try Carmex! The scent is consistently strong Why does the fragrance seem to get stronger with each renewal? I'm not usually picky about scents, but it's a bit off-putting when eating after applying this. The color is transparent When I bought it as a middle schooler, it had a subtle pink tint, but now it's completely clear. It would be nice if it had a slight tint. I guess these days there are plenty of tinted lip balms available that aren't Chapstick. If Chapstick works well for you, try Carmex for nighttime care! It's thicker but locks in moisture even more effectively.
