When I first sampled this fragrance, it was so captivating that I seriously considered buying it. Interestingly, it seemed to reveal different facets each time I smelled it, which ultimately led me to hold off on purchasing the full-size product. The spicy and vanilla combination makes it particularly well-suited for winter wear. However, there are occasions when the scent can feel a bit overwhelming, potentially causing headaches. This makes it challenging to use as a daily fragrance. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2022
I went to sample fragrances from brands I hadn't tried before, looking for a change from my usual scent. While testing, nothing really stood out until I sprayed Diptyque Eau Duelle. Instantly, I thought, 'This is it!' and bought it on the spot. It has a soft vanilla scent with subtle floral notes, but it's not overly sweet. The spray distributes evenly with a generous amount, making it easy to use. For an eau de toilette, the fragrance lasts surprisingly long. It's not really a downside, but if you're looking for longer-lasting wear, I'd recommend getting the eau de parfum version instead of the eau de toilette. (Unfortunately, the parfum was sold out when I made my purchase, so I had to go with the toilette.) To enhance longevity, try applying hand cream, body emulsion, or solid perfume to create a slightly oily base before spraying. This will help the scent last longer and blend for a more complex fragrance experience. Also, the bottle is so beautiful that I recommend keeping it as a decorative piece even after you've used up all the perfume! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2020
🌙 Diptyque Eau Duelle Single note - Vanilla bourbon, pink pepper, cypriol, olibanum, musk, cardamom, incense 🌙 A captivating fragrance with a rich vanilla scent. It opens with a spicy pepper note that quickly dissipates, leaving behind a deep, lingering vanilla trail. 🌙 This scent pairs perfectly with your coat during the cooler months from autumn to winter. Eau Duelle is less well-known compared to other fragrances, making it feel like a hidden gem you want to keep to yourself. 🌙 I own the miniature version, and I'm completely satisfied despite its small size due to its excellent longevity. * The initial spicy scent can be quite sharp and polarizing. Make sure to test it before purchasing. * This is a heavy fragrance that's very season-dependent. Not recommended for those seeking an all-season perfume! - si****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 18, 2020
Initially, the scent is a bit spicy and bold for my taste. However, the lingering fragrance becomes more comforting. I really appreciate the lasting notes. The top notes aren't particularly pleasant... It takes some time for the scent to settle and become more agreeable. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2020
It's as sweet and vanilla-scented as I expected. One spritz lasts nearly all day, and even longer when applied to clothes. It's a bit heavy for summer, but perfect for fall and winter. The pink pepper top note doesn't quite agree with me. And the price is a bit steep... (even though the fragrance is really lovely) - ni******Oily SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2016
The vanilla scent lasts all day long. The staying power is incredible, and the soft, warm fragrance is perfect for fall and winter. When I can't sleep, I spritz it on my pajamas, and it helps me drift off. It's a 100ml eau de toilette, but it lasts so long that it doesn't run out quickly. The longevity is so impressive that if it were a perfume, it might be too strong. Men seem to love this scent. The fragrance might be too warm for summer, potentially feeling overwhelming if applied then. When sprayed on clothes rather than directly on skin, the scent easily lasts for two days. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 24, 2016
The scent is truly an honest vanilla fragrance. Last autumn, I suddenly became obsessed with vanilla scents and tried various perfumes before purchasing this one. - I love that the fragrance isn't just overwhelmingly sweet like a vanilla dessert, but has a slightly spicy note that balances out the sweetness! (Though when I mentioned this to my friends, they said they couldn't really detect the spiciness.) The bottom line is that it's not so sweet that it gives you a headache, but pleasantly sweet in just the right way. It makes me feel like I've become a sweetly charming woman! - The scent is sophisticated. I love that it's sweet without being overly girlish! - It has better staying power compared to other Diptyque fragrances! You might think it wouldn't last long considering it's an Eau de Toilette and a niche perfume, but that's not the case at all! - The quantity seems like it will last a very long time. I bought the 100ml bottle and I don't think I've even used 5% of it yet. - Since it's a somewhat heavy scent, there are occasionally days when I'm feeling sensitive and don't want to spray it, despite its pleasant vanilla aroma. - Admittedly, this type of fragrance isn't really suitable for spring or summer, is it? So while it means the perfume lasts longer, it's not really an all-season scent. I really love perfumes, but even if I like a scent right away, I don't purchase it immediately! I think it's important to spray it on your own body and see how well the scent complements your personal chemistry. There have been times when I've gone to buy a widely popular fragrance, and while it smelled good during testing, it completely changed and became strange once I sprayed it on my wrist.
