Among tinted lip balms, this one focuses more on the balm aspect. It creates a velvety smooth lip finish. That's why if you apply a light layer of another lipstick underneath and top it with this, you get long-lasting hydration! While the packaging is pretty, it's a bit inconvenient that it can only be closed in one direction. Apply a thin layer of tint or lipstick first, then add this on top for perfectly moisturized lips! The color payoff when applied to the lips isn't as intense as expected, but the moisturizing effect is exceptional. It feels even more hydrating than the lip balm I use before bed, surpassing any stick-type lip balm in terms of moisture. However, it's a bit disappointing as a color lip balm since the shade is quite subtle. The case is absolutely adorable. I wanted something with a subtle tint, good hydration to prevent dry lips, and a pretty shine. Suddenly, I thought of the Nudes lip balm. Despite mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try. The packaging is cute, and it glides on smoothly like an oil, which I love. I used to use Rom&nd's Glasting Melting Balm, which had a great glossy color, but it was annoying when my hair would stick to it in the wind. This one, however, isn't sticky at all and gives a moisturized, dewy glow! The color is sheer, so it's perfect for light skin tones. It's a beautiful, clear coral shade. I'm amazed at how gorgeous the shine is for a lip balm... 1. Recommended for those who want to add a healthy glow to their bare face (subtle tint) 2. Surprisingly smooth application, not sticky at all 3. Not recommended for those who want intense color payoff The color isn't intense? But that's exactly what I was looking for, so I can't really think of any downsides. There's a slight scent, but it's not bothersome - this might vary from person to person.
