The advantage is that it seems more useful when you've only applied sunscreen or a brightening moisturizer, making oil cleansing unnecessary. I don't typically wear heavy eye makeup, so I've been using this product instead of oil cleanser followed by a light foam cleanser, and it seems to cleanse quite well. The scent is not great. It's not overpowering, but it's not unscented either - there's a slight smell. It doesn't remove mascara or waterproof eyeliners effectively, so you need to remove those separately. It stings quite a bit if it gets in your eyes, making it difficult to remove eye makeup. While it leaves the skin feeling hydrated, you still can't skip using a toner.
