The bottle is pretty, and when applying it, you get this feeling that your skin is about to improve However, it's actually a shortcut to ruining your skin. It clogs pores terribly, leading to blemishes on the blocked pores. The more you use it, the more it feels like crossing a point of no return. At first, I used it unknowingly, but by the time I was almost finished, I realized what was happening and it went straight to the trash. What's worse, it's not even hydrating - my skin still suffers from deep dryness - yo**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 5, 2020
I'm currently using the Vitamin Booster Cream, Body Emulsion, and Perfume. I tend to use products for quite a while since I love trying different things. For someone like me with very dry skin who prioritizes hydration and prefers rich textures, this product was really satisfying! It absorbs well, and since my skin tends to quickly soak up anything, I prefer thicker, stickier formulas whether it's toner or serum. I applied it morning and night, and it maintained sufficient hydration. When I applied it before bed, I definitely woke up with a nice rich feeling on my face, which I love. The small size is a downside, but it does last a long time. The jar packaging can be inconvenient. The floral scent might be hit or miss - personally, I'm not a big fan of floral fragrances. While it's subtle, sometimes when I'm feeling sensitive, it can give me a headache, so I occasionally skip using it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2019
It absorbs really well and has a fragrance-free feel, making it perfect for those like me who dislike strong scents. The slightly disappointing aspect might be the price point. Also, since the brand hasn't been in Korea for long, it can be a bit challenging to find. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 8, 2019
This is a product I always buy when I go duty-free shopping. I love it because it absorbs well and creates a perfect base for makeup! I looked it up on Hwahae and found out it contains five harmful ingredients. I had no idea... A must-use before applying makeup! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2018
The scent is pleasant and fades quickly. The texture is neither too thin nor as thick as butter cream, striking a nice balance. It provides a good mix of hydration and richness when applied. For oily, acne-prone skin, it feels a bit heavy, which is disappointing. I managed to use it in winter, but found it challenging to use in summer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 20, 2018
I think this is the best moisturizer out there. My skin is super sensitive, and even Kiehl's would give me slight blemishes, so I usually stuck to pharmacy products. But ever since Philosophy came to Korea, this is all I use. The only downside is that I wish they'd make the Hope in a Jar Night cream with the same ingredients. When I use the night cream, I tend to break out a bit. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2018
As someone with acne-prone oily skin, I'm impressed by how well this absorbs. It doesn't leave any sticky residue at all. I've been using it for over two weeks now, and I've noticed a significant reduction in large blemishes and my complexion seems much improved. For some reason, I experience a tingling sensation on my face when I use this. I bought it as a hydrating cream, but even though I have very oily skin, it feels dry when I try to apply makeup right after. Because of this, I'm planning to buy a separate morning moisturizer. - er*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 31, 2018
I bought this as a peeling product and received a 15ml mini size, which I had set aside. Coincidentally, I started using it when my moisturizer ran out. Recently, I've been dealing with blackheads, whiteheads, and adult acne, so I've been visiting a dermatologist. I use toner and essence from the dermatologist, and then apply this cream. At first, it has a slightly thick, butter-like texture, but it absorbs well. The scent is subtle and floral, rather than artificial. It has a consistency between a gel and a rich nourishing cream. When warmed by body heat, it absorbs nicely and provides long-lasting hydration. I ended up purchasing it at a great price through Hwahae shopping. When I bought the cream, they included two tube samples of the same product, which is great for on-the-go use. It comes in a jar, and although it has a middle cover, it's not as hygienic to use compared to a tube type. There's no spatula included, so you have to either apply it with your fingers or buy a separate spatula. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2018
There wasn't much to praise. If there's any silver lining, it's that I bought it as part of a discounted set with a night cream, so I didn't waste as much money. It's a cream I won't repurchase. It might work differently for oily skin, but I have dry skin. Even after applying essence to prevent deep dryness before using this cream, it still left my dry skin feeling extremely parched and tight. When applying makeup after this cream, it pills like eraser shavings. It makes my eyes feel tired and stinging - those who experience eye irritation from cosmetics should definitely avoid this product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinMar 15, 2018
It was moisturizing and had a pleasant scent. It wasn't sticky at all. It might be a bit light for those with dry skin. You'll probably need to use it alongside another cream.
