This is an incredibly gentle and effective oil for dry skin. I've been using it for over a decade! It's especially wonderful during the winter months. There's nothing particularly negative to mention. The fact that this face oil is free from fragrances is perfect, as fragrances can be harmful. The ingredients and their effects are spot-on. When you apply a small amount to your face on a dry night before bed, you'll wake up with smoother skin the next morning. - bo*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 29, 2023
The bottle shape looks sturdy and seems designed to fit comfortably in your hand, giving it a nice grip. For the same reason, it ends up having an adorably cute bottle design. The cap is made of a material that won't get slippery or show fingerprints from the oil. It appears they've made efforts to prevent any mishaps when opening the cap due to the oil. Above all, it's a safe, organic oil that feels nourishing! I was quite annoyed with the cream I ordered together, but this oil helped calm me down. Even if everything else is perfect, if the product works well, we'll still buy it, right? What can you do... At least the manufacturer seems to be making it properly without issues. I'm sensitive to smells but also somewhat oblivious. If something doesn't smell good, I usually just think 'I guess it's not great' and use it without much thought. But honestly, the scent of this is pretty awful. It smells like you're sticking your nose in an eraser... But it's okay because the smell dissipates quickly. I tried it on the back of my hand and it absorbs really fast. It seems like it would be fine to use as is, but I plan to add a few drops when my face is still damp after washing and pat it in. - ma********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 17, 2022
In the past, I could get by with just a hydrating toner or a single moisturizer in summer. But this year, my skin seems to have changed, feeling incredibly dry. Hydration alone wasn't enough - essences and creams would leave my skin parched after a while, and heavier creams led to blemishes. I was at a loss for how to moisturize effectively. After some research, I discovered that almond oil is great for oily skin. I bought the Weleda one and tried mixing it with my skincare - it's truly amazing! Initially, I applied my regular skincare lightly, finishing with two drops of oil pressed gently into my skin. Wanting a lighter feel, I started mixing it directly into my products. Now, after toner, I blend 3 parts hydrating serum, 2 parts centella asiatica extract, and 1 drop of almond oil. This combination has dramatically reduced my blemishes and redness, while keeping my skin perfectly balanced - not too dry or oily. I also tried jojoba oil, which is supposed to be similar to sebum and good for preventing blemishes. However, it only worked for me in the depths of winter dryness - otherwise, it caused breakouts. Carrot oil was effective when I used it before, but the scent was too overwhelming to repurchase. I think I've finally found my perfect skincare routine! I have absolutely no complaints. It's challenging to find 20 characters worth of criticism when there's nothing to critique. If you're dealing with dry skin and want to boost hydration, but find rich creams trigger blemishes, try mixing just one drop of this oil into your regular skincare products. - ch********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2021
I've been using this product daily for two years, and it's a solid five-star for me. Despite being an oil, it's not heavy at all and absorbs well. To my nose, it has a subtle woody scent. Mixing about 5 drops with an emulsion enhances the hydration effect. Even without artificial ingredients, I didn't notice any change in fragrance or quality over the year it took to finish a bottle. I think this is due to the deep blue bottle and the tightly sealed cap, similar to cough syrup bottles. While the first 5 drops come out quickly, getting any more requires some vigorous shaking. - nj****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 30, 2020
This is my absolute favorite! Even though I don't usually get along with oils these days, this one doesn't feel like it's clogging my skin at all. It's really wonderful. The price is the only downside. It's not exactly cheap, but considering how expensive it is in Germany, I can't complain too much. Still, it's a bit disappointing. It seems to work really well when used in combination with Sebamed gel products. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 1, 2018
It's a lightweight oil, but it provides excellent hydration. There's a subtle scent (not artificial, likely from the added plum seed oil... not bothersome) and it's a very gentle oil without irritation, making it suitable for my dry, super sensitive skin prone to contact dermatitis. The oil dispenses one drop at a time, which some might find inconvenient, but I appreciate it as it reduces the risk of spills and is more hygienic. I used to decant it into a separate dropper bottle, but using it straight from the original container works even better. I don't have any complaints at the moment. It's so gentle that it's not burdensome at all... I just wish it came in a 100ml size. It's great to use as a final step in your skincare routine to seal everything in. The instructions mention it can also be used for massage and removing eye makeup. They suggest applying a bit more on wrinkle-prone areas at night... The oil is so light that it doesn't cause any blemishes. As a massage oil, it's really fantastic. Gently massage for about 3 minutes, then lightly wipe off with warm water or toner-soaked cotton pad. Follow up with your usual skincare routine, and you'll notice your complexion looks brighter. - at****Combination SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2018
I'm becoming a Weleda devotee. As someone who mainly used 100% essential oils like rosehip or jojoba, this felt a bit thinner to me. On the flip side, it's perfect for those who dislike heavy, slow-absorbing oils. The scent is practically non-existent, which is great for sensitive noses. It comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a plastic lid, not a plastic container (so clean!). I love that there's no risk of dropping it, breaking the cap, and spilling everything due to poor flow control. When my daily emulsion or moisturizer isn't quite enough, I mix in a bit of this. Massaging it into my inner arms, hands, and feet keeps me hydrated until the next morning! The container is quite heavy, so it's not ideal for carrying around. However, it's 10 times better than plastic bottles that crack at the cap and leak everywhere when you squeeze them too hard. I've been mixing this with my cream, and when I look in the mirror the next morning, I can see a definite difference. I'm completely hooked on this product because of what it does for my skin. I think it's an especially excellent product for winter. Other oils I've tried caused blemishes on my face, so I had to stop using them after buying, but this one has been blemish-free from the start. I'm extremely satisfied with it. It dispenses in very small amounts, just one drop at a time, which can be a bit inconvenient when you want to use more. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 11, 2018
As someone with sensitive, dry skin that reacts badly to incompatible products, causing flaking and irritation, this oil is gentle and, most importantly, doesn't cause blemishes. When I tried switching to a different oil, my skin reacted poorly, so I immediately went back to using this one. I've been living in Germany and have almost exclusively used this oil since arriving. As for any downsides, I honestly can't think of any at the moment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinNov 23, 2017
Due to the dry winter weather, I've been adding about 3 drops of this to my emulsion. At night, I layer shea butter cream on top, but in the morning before makeup, I don't like applying too many products. So I just use the emulsion mixed with this oil, followed by sunscreen. Thanks to the oil, my skin doesn't feel dry all day. While I wouldn't say it's an absolute must-have, it's a suitable oil for those like me who prioritize cosmetic ingredients. After all, not all oils are created equal - some contain chemical additives. It's a bit challenging to dispense the oil. You have to tap it vigorously to get even a single drop out. While it's good that this prevents wastage, it's frustrating that it barely comes out at all...
