As my first department store foundation, it was pleasantly satisfactory. Given its price point, it's best to purchase this during a sale. - hj*****Dry SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedMay 12, 2022
The staying power is excellent. I bought this in a hurry after finishing my Estée Lauder Porcelain, and I'm quite satisfied. The color is too yellow and dark... It causes significant darkening. I wonder if there's a lighter shade available... - ya*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2022
It didn't transfer much onto my mask and worked well for my oily skin! I have very fair skin. However, the color payoff wasn't as pretty as I expected, even with the lightest shade. That was a bit disappointing. - jy******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJan 4, 2022
My complexion has brightened up! Even with just a tiny amount applied, my skin looks radiant. I hesitated for a long time before buying due to the questionable ingredients. I'm worried if it'll be safe to use during pregnancy later on... I have a fair complexion, so I used to use shade 17, but this time I boldly tried shade 13. It looks more natural than I expected, and even with a small amount, my face brightens up nicely. I found that applying a tiny bit on the puff, spreading it very thinly, and gently patting it in creates a natural finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 2, 2021
If you've ever been told 'Why is your skin so white?' while living in Korea, this shade is calling your name... You're about to meet your holy grail foundation. Say goodbye to always looking washed out... We can finally use a foundation that matches our natural skin tone without that dreaded neck line! The formula adheres perfectly to the skin. Since it's matte, even those with oily skin can use it without worry, making it a must-have that I can recommend to my oily-skinned colleagues too. It applies well with both a brush and a puff. I wouldn't recommend using your fingers though. We've all been there - too tired after a long day to remove our makeup before bed... Usually, this leads to not-so-great skin the next day, but forget to remove Hera Black Foundation? The next morning, you'll experience the miracle of becoming one with dozens of blemishes... Other cushions, foundations, or BB creams never caused this many bumps, but nothing else gives you this many if left on overnight... Like with any cosmetic, but especially with this one, make sure to remove it thoroughly!!! Let's all cleanse well and get a good night's sleep. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedAug 28, 2021
The coverage and staying power are great. While it needs a powder touch-up in summer, I love that the finish doesn't feel oily. As mentioned, powder is a must in summer. The strong cosmetic scent might be hit or miss for some people. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 13, 2021
I switched from another foundation because it's summer now... My previous one felt heavy and suffocating, so I looked for alternatives and bought this after seeing its popularity and reviews. Hera Black Foundation comes in a wide range of shades, so you can find one that matches your complexion. It's available in most department stores, so I recommend testing it before purchasing. To cut to the chase, I've been using this daily lately. It seems to have a slight yellow undertone, which works great for me as I tend to have redness, providing excellent coverage. The color looks natural, pretty, and gives a radiant look. It creates a powdery, soft semi-matte skin finish. What I love is that it doesn't require oil control - you can apply it directly to the skin, and its silky texture manages oil, eliminating the need for powder while avoiding stickiness or shine, resulting in a smooth, matte finish. It adheres lightly to the skin without caking or lifting. When applied, it feels so lightweight, as if you're wearing nothing at all. I gave it 5 stars mainly due to its excellent adherence. Perhaps because of its powdery finish, even a small amount creates a smooth skin texture, and layering provides more coverage without pilling or lifting. I don't even use concealer, just this foundation. It creates a bright complexion, allowing for a cleaner and more luminous makeup look. While it covers well, it can be drying. You might need to apply a solid base beforehand, but it's challenging to layer multiple skincare products in summer, isn't it? It's good for oily skin, but not recommended for dry skin types. The longevity is neither particularly good nor bad, just average. I didn't realize it before, but the ingredients aren't great either. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 21, 2021
✔️Color As someone with fair skin (shade 13), I used to always search for very light shade 21 foundations before Black Cushion. But since this product came out, I've settled on it! If you have skin tones between 13-17, the Porcelain color will likely be a great match for you! ✔️Application My favorite aspect is how it applies. Despite being a matte product, it doesn't look cakey, and it sets quickly without pilling. It creates such a beautiful skin finish that it makes my complexion look naturally flawless. ✔️Longevity The staying power is also excellent. Even when wearing a mask or moving around, it hardly seems to fade. It may wear off slightly if you sweat with a mask on, but otherwise, it stays put remarkably well. It lasts much longer than the Black Cushion! ✔️Coverage The coverage is also quite high. Since it's not an ultra-thin formula, it provides good coverage. As you can see in the photo, it conceals my red blemishes to a good extent. When I use this product as my base, I don't need to add concealer. *I wouldn't recommend this to those who prefer very lightweight formulas. ✔️Packaging This was my first experience with a tube-type foundation, and I love how portable it is. Previously, I had to decant foundation for travel, but this tube is light enough to carry in my makeup pouch. ✔️Scent The fragrance might be polarizing. It has a strong cosmetic smell, which took me some time to get used to initially. If you're sensitive to scents, I recommend testing it in person before purchasing! For those with dry skin, I recommend applying toner, serum, and a light moisturizer before using this foundation. While it's not extremely drying, those with very dry skin like mine might experience some flaking around the nose area, so make sure to prep your skin thoroughly! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2021
It absorbs well and for a product that leaves a matte finish, there's hardly any dead skin cells flaking, which is great. The container is also light and easy to carry around, making it perfect for travel use. On days when my skin is super sensitive, the only downside is that the makeup tends to lift from the beginning. I have a light complexion and even the 13 shade worked fine for me. If I had bought 21, it might have been a bit dark. I recommend doing a color test before purchasing! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 26, 2021
It absorbs well even in thin layers, provides good coverage, and creates a beautiful complexion. It doesn't transfer much onto masks. While it looks fine when first applied, after a short time it appears darker than your natural skin tone. The darkening effect is quite noticeable. If applied a bit too thickly, it can look cakey. However, a small amount is sufficient for adequate coverage, so it's still decent. Mixing it with a hydrating foundation makes it suitable for dry skin types. It seems to work well with a dense, bouncy makeup sponge.
