The texture is unique, like aloe's signature runny consistency, so you don't need to use a separate essence or ampoule. It finishes with a fresh feel. The hydration is quite generous. When applied, it gives your skin a soft, supple sensation. I've never experienced any irritation or burning sensation. The old container had a bit of a strong spray. I haven't tried the renewed container yet, so I should give it a go. Not recommended as an exfoliating toner. Excellent for calming the skin. I have severe redness, but when I use this as a skin pack, it really helps reduce the heat. I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through. It absolutely can't be discontinued... It also helps keep dead skin cells at bay. They're asking me to write about drawbacks, but I can't think of any. I'm just filling up space here. This seems to be a daily exfoliating toner that's great for soothing dead skin cells. The texture has a slight viscosity which feels a bit unfamiliar (it's like an exfoliating toner that leaves a lingering moisturizing sensation between applications, then becomes hydrating as it absorbs). It's excellent for gently removing oil-based impurities and dead skin cells without being too harsh. For someone with extremely oily skin like me, who produces a lot of waste and dead skin cells, not removing them promptly can lead to blemishes. I'm satisfied that this is a BHA toner that can be used daily! The formula has a runny consistency, so you end up using quite a bit to fully saturate a cotton pad, meaning it might run out quickly. Also, it's disappointing that the container design seems prone to product buildup around the opening. For oily skin types: After cleansing, saturate a cotton pad generously and wipe the face, then apply a light layer of skincare. The next day, your skin will feel lighter. Salicylic acid, also known as BHA, is an oil-soluble exfoliating ingredient that effectively removes impurities from pores, making it ideal for acne-prone skin. It helped manage dead skin cells and debris, resulting in a smoother complexion. The aloe vera from Jeju Island soothes the skin and delivers rich hydration. Since exfoliation can sometimes be harsh on the face, I appreciated how this BHA toner gently sloughed off dead skin cells without causing irritation. I didn't encounter any particular drawbacks while using this product. For an extra boost of hydration, try this mask technique: Saturate a cotton pad with the toner and leave it on your skin for about 20 minutes. This is a product I consistently use. It's great for hydration and while it feels slippery for a moment, it quickly absorbs without any stickiness, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. I use this daily. It used to have a sticky aloe-like texture, but now the bottle has changed and it's more of a liquid formula. I've been using it for 6 years now. It's great, I highly recommend it! I was using the aloe formula without any issues, so when the texture suddenly changed, it took some getting used to. But now I'm completely fine with it. Try applying it along your skin's texture. I dispense about a nickel-sized amount onto one hand, then use three fingers to apply it in this order: between the eyebrows, nose, cheeks, chin, forehead, temples, and neck, following the direction of my skin's texture. - dg*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 4, 2024
The texture is more substantial than a watery toner and feels wonderfully hydrating when applied to the skin! Unfortunately, it didn't suit my super sensitive skin. I had success with Benton's Propolis Aloe Gel, so I thought I'd try their Aloe Toner too. While the ingredients seem gentle and beneficial, it caused blemishes to appear. It has a pleasant aloe scent. The texture isn't thick or sticky, but rather light and watery. I think it's because of the BHA, but it stings my face, so I don't use it often. When I did use it, it seemed to make my skin worse. I recently opened it and there's a lot left, so I'm using a bit on my body. Such a waste!

The skin-soothing and hydrating effects of aloe, combined with Benton's BHA technology, are hard to replace. While the price has increased since I first started using it, I still think it's reasonably priced for what it offers. If your skin feels dry, try mixing in a drop of facial oil when applying.
