This is my go-to cushion that I've repurchased and stocked up on. Before diving into the facts, I must say this cushion has clear strengths and weaknesses. The main reason I keep buying it is its easy application, zero dryness, and decent coverage. The application is smooth - it's a hydrating cushion that doesn't cause any tightness or dryness while wearing (I have extremely dry skin, especially around the eyes and mouth, which usually causes makeup to flake off). Due to its moisturizing nature, it adheres well to the skin. Unlike many hydrating cushions that leave puff marks, this one allows for carefree application. Despite being hydrating, the formula is lightweight (just be sure to control the amount). It covers redness well, and while it doesn't provide 100% blemish coverage, I'm satisfied with the level it does offer. After close observation, I've noticed it's slightly darker than a typical #21 shade, giving a very natural look. It's about a #22, which seems to help 'overpower' blemishes - the cushion color wins over my imperfections, if that makes sense. If you're particular about color, keep this in mind. The color tends to be on the darker side. If you're looking for a brighter look, there are lighter shades available - you might want to choose those. (Note: cushions with this formula can appear very dark if there's a big difference from your skin tone, but I didn't experience this as I chose a well-matching shade). When my skin condition is poor, I sometimes get small bumps on my nose bridge. There's a slight darkening effect, but it's not severe. It's more like a darkening that comes from my natural oils over time. Think of it like how damp soil looks darker than dry soil - but I might be over-explaining. It's just a slight darkening effect! For those who've read my reviews before, you know my biggest pet peeve is makeup breakdown - this one held up pretty well (touch-ups were moderate). Every cushion has its pros and cons, and unless it's a customized product, you usually have to compromise on one or two things. I don't use this product when I need to put in extra effort. For example, it's perfect for those vacation mornings when you're exhausted but don't want to miss the hotel breakfast - great for a quick touch-up in the elevator! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 11, 2022
It's a godsend for dry skin! It effectively covers dead skin cells and even fills in pores. The price is a bit steep, making it a burden to purchase. Plus, the volume isn't particularly generous... Using it as a starter rather than a primer really boosts its staying power throughout the day. - li*****Dry SkinRecommendedAug 15, 2021
It's a great product for everyday use! It's moisturizing while still looking natural, and it doesn't cake or clump on my skin. It provides a natural coverage that makes your skin look like it's naturally flawless. I'm on my third refill, including using it in summer. When I finish with a light dusting of powder, it stays moisturizing without transferring to my mask. The coverage isn't very high, so you'll need to use concealer for any major blemishes or acne. I'm okay with slightly visible imperfections showing through, so it works for me. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 15, 2021
It absorbs smoothly without caking and leaves the skin feeling moisturized. However, it offers no coverage at all. I wish it had even a little bit of coverage. Other than that, everything else is great! - he********Dry SkinRecommendedJul 21, 2021
It's as moisturizing as if it contains essence, but it becomes matte after application Apart from the underwhelming design, it seems decent. However, replacing the cushion refill was a bit stiff - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2021
Despite having slightly dry skin, it adheres well to the face. The puff seems to play a significant role in this. Disappointing that it doesn't provide great coverage. It doesn't do much to reduce redness. Applying it after a thin layer of sunscreen improves adherence even more! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 7, 2021
1. Color - While it doesn't treat blemishes, it evens out uneven skin tone without looking out of place on the skin, creating a beautiful complexion - The perfect ivory shade makes you look radiant 2. Hydration - Moisturizing with a beautiful glow when first applied - Generally doesn't seem to emphasize dead skin cells 3. Longevity & Coverage - Moisturizing yet long-lasting - Smoothly covers pores on the nose without feeling heavy - Minimal darkening and fades beautifully - Touch-ups aren't overwhelming - Might be too rich for oily skin types - The moisturizing formula can slightly settle into fine lines - T-zone becomes quite shiny over time - As it's a hydrating product, its adherence to the skin is moderate - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
It absorbs well, leaving the skin deeply hydrated There wasn't anything particularly disappointing, but shade 21 was slightly dark for my complexion - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 17, 2020
Great coverage and even when it fades, it does so beautifully. It applies thinly but feels lightweight, so I recommend it. I noticed it felt a bit dry and there was some settling into fine lines. After applying, if you lightly dust with a lightweight powder, you'll get a matte finish on the outside while maintaining moisture underneath. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedDec 6, 2020
I loved how moisturizing it was. When I went out wearing this, I got quite a few compliments on how good my skin looked. While it's hydrating, the staying power isn't that great. After some time, it seems to accentuate wrinkles a bit.
