I used to love the now-discontinued Pony Effect Everlasting foundation. When mixed with liquid foundation, it had great staying power and no darkening issues. I was curious about the new mesh version, so I decided to give it a try. The Zoom In Liquid Foundation has a semi-matte texture that feels lightweight. When I used it, there was no darkening, which is a huge plus. It has a powdery finish, so I mixed it with a glowy foundation from another brand that tended to darken. The staying power was incredible. It has a floral scent, which might be hit or miss for those who prefer unscented products, but I enjoy fragrances, so it was fine for me. The main advantages are its lightweight feel and decent coverage. The lack of darkening is truly a significant benefit! It even neutralizes the darkening effect when mixed with foundations from other brands that tend to oxidize. As mentioned earlier, it has a powdery finish, so those with dry skin should build a good skincare base. Since I have dry skin lacking both oil and moisture, I might be less prone to makeup breakdown. It seems perfect for combination skin types, and even when I applied too much skincare underneath, it never separated or pilled, so it could work well for oily skin too. As someone with dry skin, I need to make sure I have a solid skincare routine when using the Zoom In foundation or cushion on its own.
