The gentle ingredients are kind to the skin, causing no irritation (Eucerin is a brand I trust for its ingredients) The foam is truly shocking. Before buying, I saw many comments about the foam on Hwahae, but as someone who's used many low pH foams from other brands, I thought, 'How different could it be?' Choosing this was my mistake. As those who've tried low pH foams know, they're usually used by people with super sensitive skin for morning cleansing or as a second cleanser (meaning you don't expect much cleansing effectiveness). I always kept a low pH foam on hand for this purpose, but this one was truly shocking. Even if you pump it 3-4 times and pile it up like a mountain on your face, the foam disappears the moment it touches your skin. Using 3-4 pumps twice naturally makes the product run out quickly, but I found myself pumping more vigorously, thinking I'd rather use it up fast and buy a different brand. The pump works unnecessarily well, allowing you to use every last drop. I trusted Eucerin, so I don't understand why they made this mistake... I can see why it was discontinued. I hope they come out with a better, renewed foam cleanser. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2022
I've probably used about 4 bottles of this! It's gentle yet brightening! I loved how it gave me a natural-looking even skin tone. It wasn't just a momentary effect, which made it even better. I've always been fond of bubble foam cleansers for their convenience, and this one gives me that satisfying clean feeling. The amount that comes out in one pump was a bit small, which was inconvenient. Also, I didn't like that it seemed to run out quickly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 9, 2022
Gentle on the skin and leaves a moisturized feeling after use. Makes the skin feel softer. Doesn't lather well, so you need to pump a lot. Noticed that it didn't remove all my makeup completely. - yh******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessMar 19, 2021
The ingredients are gentle, and even without applying anything immediately after cleansing, my face didn't feel tight. However, there were too many inconveniences besides that. When I first used it, I squeezed the foam onto my wet face, but it disappeared instantly, turning into water. I tried to squeeze out more to cleanse again, but it vanished once more. I ended up using a different foam cleanser. The foam disappears so quickly that I find myself rubbing my bare face before I can even start cleansing. Personally, I found it very inconvenient. So, here's what I discovered: squeeze the product onto your dry face, let it sit for a moment, then gently massage and rinse off. Since I don't usually wear makeup, this works for me both morning and night, but it might be best for morning cleansing. Alternatively, you could use it like a cleansing water by applying it to a cotton pad, wiping your face, then rinsing with water. - he**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinJan 5, 2021
The foam disappears quickly, so you end up using a lot at once. As the foam vanishes, it's hard to tell if it's cleansing effectively. I absolutely cannot recommend this product. There was a common comment in Olive Young reviews saying the foam disappears as soon as it touches your face. Having used other brands' bubble cleansers, I thought, 'Surely it can't be that bad,' and bought it to try. I'm not exaggerating when I say the foam collapses and vanishes the moment you start rubbing it on your face. It's worse than regular foam cleansers. Moreover, the day after using it, my cheeks and nose area became red and irritated. It seems there was some irritation from the ingredients, making me hesitant to use it again. Instead of buying this, get yourself a different foam cleanser. - js*******Combination SkinRecommendedNov 9, 2020
After trying it out, I think it's perfect for morning cleansing. I've read that for morning cleansing, it's actually better to use a gentle cleanser or even just rinse with water rather than using something harsh. I tend to go for a gentle cleanse in the morning, and this product fits the bill perfectly. It's ideal for lightly removing excess oil in the morning without being too harsh. It's definitely a foam type, so you might feel like you're using it up quickly. I've been using it for about a week, and I haven't experienced any blemishes or breakouts. When I first received the product, I didn't have high expectations since many low pH cleansers don't produce much foam. As expected, this was somewhat the case here. I initially used it for evening cleansing, but I noticed the foam disappeared quickly when I rubbed it with my hands. So, I pumped it twice into my hands and applied the foam directly to my face without rubbing it in my palms first, then massaged it on my face. In my opinion, it didn't give me that squeaky clean feeling. - hy****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinSep 21, 2020
The bubbles are gentle and watery, making it great for a morning cleanse without water. I love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and squeaky clean after washing. The foam dissipates too quickly. It fades faster than a bubble toner, so it doesn't feel like a proper cleanser. Naturally, it's not satisfying as a second cleanse in the evening either. It gives the impression that it barely removes any impurities (though I'm sure it does something, it just doesn't feel effective). It works best when applying the foam directly to dry skin without water. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 26, 2020
I've been using Eucerin Dermato Clean 3 in 1 Cleansing Water for 2 years and loved it. When it was discontinued, I had to order it from overseas. Now it's back with the same formula, but in a foam dispenser! It doesn't cause any blemishes, removes sunscreen effectively, and the foam dispenser makes it super convenient. I still have some cleansing water at home, but once I finish it, I'll transfer it to this bottle. On days I wear sunscreen, I wipe with a cotton pad first, then cleanse again for thorough removal. Above all, it doesn't irritate my skin, so I'm sticking to this product exclusively. It doesn't have strong sebum-removing power, but you can address that with clay masks or other methods. In the morning, I do a light cleanse with foam. At night, I wipe with a cotton pad first, then cleanse again with foam. The ingredients are identical to the original cleansing water, from top to bottom. Only the packaging seems to have changed! - so*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 15, 2020
It's a low pH product with gentle foam. Although it contains one potentially harmful ingredient, the overall formulation is still quite clean! The price is on the higher side. While it's said to be good for removing impurities, fine dust, and makeup, the foam disappears quickly, so I'm using a lot of product each time!
