Huh? Turns out I actually like floral scents...? I usually strongly dislike artificial floral fragrances, but this one doesn't bother me thanks to its subtle citrus notes. My skin is always on the dry side, but if I apply this after showering and patting dry, the dryness completely disappears. It was incredibly useful during fall and winter. Though the container is large, I go through it quickly. Personally, I prefer this over Sleepy as it feels less heavy and absorbs more freshly. The scent is too strong and long-lasting. If you apply it before bed, the fragrance lingers on your pajamas... It feels unpleasant to wear them again the next day. This isn't just a Pansy thing, it's typical of Lush products... Using a spatula would make for more hygienic application. - cj********Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2023
It's got a nice, firm texture that feels soft on the skin. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it didn't cause any tingling at all. The fragrance is growing on me and I find it really appealing... It's like a subtle version of Pansy, but it settles so gently on the skin that it feels like a completely soft scent. Compared to the Pansy perfume version, it has a slightly lighter floral touch. It's neither overly feminine nor masculine, so it's suitable for everyone to use. If you're expecting it to be exactly like the Pansy perfume, you might be disappointed. It feels like the Pansy perfume version with a few notes missing... While the nuance is similar, it's a scent that's lacking something. There's also a slight shea butter scent mixed in. And it's not as rich as I expected, so it might not be great for massaging. Most importantly, there's no seal on the packaging...? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but I ordered it from Coupang and it makes me a bit uneasy. I think it works even better if you apply this and then spray some Pansy on top. - tr*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 8, 2023
Fresh and gentle fragrance Absorbs well and provides good hydration The price is too high The ingredients could be better... Not very hygienic as it's a jar type product you need to scoop out - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 1, 2023
- Personally, I find the hydration better than Sleepy. It's great for use from autumn through winter and into spring. - The scent that subtly emerges from your skin after a while is even more delightful than the initial fragrance. - A classic Lush body emulsion feature! The pot-like container allows you to use every last drop - a real plus! - The scent might be polarizing. Be sure to test it in-store before deciding to purchase! - While it's lovely for autumn and winter, the rich fragrance might feel a bit heavy for spring and summer use. - so*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 17, 2023
I'm thrilled that my favorite Lush scent, Pansy, is now available as a body emulsion! The fragrance is so delightful that applying it before bed truly lifts my spirits. Some people might find the scent a bit strong. And then there's the wicked price... It's a body emulsion, but it feels too precious to use liberally. - yy******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 27, 2022
Though the amount seems less than expected, a little goes a long way with its intense fragrance. It feels like it'll last forever! Highly recommended for those aspiring to be a walking Lush store. The container is a bit inconvenient, and the product has a yogurt-like consistency. I had a heart-stopping moment when I accidentally spilled some while opening the lid. One wrong move and it could have been a complete disaster! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 25, 2022
It has that signature Lush scent with a strong floral fragrance, and I love how the subtle aroma lingers all day after application! The rich texture provides excellent hydration too. The jar packaging makes it prone to dust contamination, and it's a shame it only comes in large sizes. - 30*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 30, 2022
The scent is lovely. It's a harmonious blend of herbal, citrus, and woody notes, creating a balanced fragrance that's neither too heavy nor too light. It's suitable for any season or gender. The scent throw and longevity are better than many perfumes, offering great value for money. The texture is like whipped butter, applying smoothly without any stickiness. Plus, you get a generous amount of product. The jar packaging means you'll need a spatula to use it hygienically. It's not exactly budget-friendly. The formula is on the oilier side, so it feels a bit heavy and slippery until it's fully absorbed. It's not a lightweight formula, so absorption isn't quick. Despite its rich texture, the moisturizing effect doesn't last as long as you might expect. Your skin doesn't feel dry, but the surface becomes a bit stiff rather quickly. It's similar to how your skin feels after applying body oil. It pairs wonderfully with Lush's Olive Branch body wash! - hj******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2022
It's not sticky at all. The scent is a bit spicier and richer than the pansy perfume. If you buy it only knowing about the pansy perfume, you might love it or hate it. Better to smell it before buying. But if you're a fan of Lush, you'll probably love this. - ju**************Dehydrated SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 21, 2022
On the strong recommendation of my friend who works at Lush (you know how employees are usually more objective about their own brand, right?), I tried this and now I'm sitting here using my third tub of this life-changing body emulsion! 1. Scent It's like they've condensed the smell of a Lush store. I think it's similar to their bestselling Olive Branch shower gel. The scent is unisex with a natural sweetness, not artificial at all, so I recommend it for both men and women. 2. Texture & Hydration The consistency is just right - not too runny, not too thick. I've tried various Lush body emulsions, and while the brand isn't known for exceptional textures, this one spreads well and leaves a glossy sheen on your skin (though it soon absorbs). It's full of rich oils that might feel a bit heavy for oily skin types looking for hydration. However, for those dealing with dry, itchy skin on arms, legs, belly, and sides during the fall/winter season, I really want to recommend this. Give it a try! There are no downsides. The pot packaging might raise concerns about contamination since you have to scoop it out, but since I'm the only one using it... I'm willing to overlook this aspect considering the brand's environmental philosophy! Due to its various plant-based oils and butters, it might not spread well on cold skin in chilly temperatures. I found it works best when applied right after a warm shower in a steamy bathroom. Also, because it's so rich, you can use it as a massage oil or bar alternative. Try scooping out a generous amount and massaging it over tense muscles. It won't dry quickly, and you'll notice the fragrance becoming more vibrant as you work it in!
