I don't usually use face masks, but my skin has been a mess for a long time, so I tried this along with La Roche-Posay's Cicaplast Baume. The mask is generously soaked in serum and definitely has a calming effect. It really helps to settle things down when you've got angry blemishes or sudden skin flare-ups. When my skin is particularly troubled, I follow up with a thick layer of Cicaplast Baume after the mask. Just keep in mind that it's quite heavy and rich, so it might not be comfortable during the day or in summer. The sheet mask can be a bit tricky to apply. It doesn't adhere as smoothly or snugly as you might expect. When the sheet feels uncomfortable, I sometimes just apply the essence directly to my face in thick layers, or cover it with a plastic mask sheet for better absorption.

I trimmed the eye area with scissors as it was a bit uncomfortable, but overall the size was slightly larger than my face, which worked well. When I used it in winter, the sheet felt really cool upon application - not sure if that's normal or due to the air temperature. Because of this, it seemed to have a better soothing effect and even reduced redness. After use, my skin felt hydrated and it addressed my deep dryness issues. The finish is slightly oily and sticky, so it might be good for dry skin types in winter, but could be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. This is my skin's savior! It works wonders for calming my skin on days when I've had a bad dermatology scaling treatment or when my super sensitive skin is particularly irritated and flaring up. When I use this on days where my skin feels hopelessly raw and scratched, the next morning it's as if nothing ever happened - my complexion is clear and soothed. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side. It's like magic when you use this mask right before your period, when your skin is about to act up, or when you feel a pimple coming on! For me, this mask worked even better than serums. I stock up during sales, and I've never found anything that soothes and hydrates as well as this pack. It's truly my holy grail for blemishes and hydration! The price... that's the only drawback. Even during sales, you can only buy 5 per person, which is such a shame.

The amount of essence is so generous that I'm storing the leftover separately! I recently used it to soothe some red, rash-like bumps on my skin, and it worked wonders - the redness has significantly subsided. There was hardly any irritation too! The mask sheet itself is delightfully soft, and it has these little slits that make it easy to fit the contours of your face. After it dries, there's a bit of pilling - when you rub your skin, some white residue comes off, which is a bit disappointing. The price point is also a bit steep for my liking. Pro tip: Keep it in the fridge for a cooling effect when you use it. It has a soothing effect and feels moisturizing. There's hardly any noticeable scent. I'm pretty sure it used to be made in France, but at some point, it switched to being manufactured in China. The Cicaplast Baume B5 seems to work well for me. I'm a big fan of the Cicaplast product line! It feels a bit on the pricey side. Using it daily might be a bit of a stretch for my budget.
