Unlike typical powders, this one has a delightful floral scent. Its fine particles and range of shades allow you to match your complexion perfectly. Not recommended for those with super sensitive skin. When I tried it, I experienced quite a few blemishes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2020
I've been using this for years now. The fine particles don't cake up and it's an excellent powder for controlling excess oil. I haven't found a better product for this purpose. The color looks natural, so I just use this after foundation and I'm done. Plus, the quantity is generous. It would be great if it came in a wider range of shades. While it matches my complexion, I think there's room for improvement in color variety. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2019
I've been using La Prairie loose powder in shade 0 for over 6 years until it was discontinued. After trying various alternatives, I discovered Lottie London. I'm extremely satisfied with its color and coverage! While the shade is similar to Laura Mercier, it feels much more hydrating and adheres better to the skin. From now on, I'll be sticking with Lottie London exclusively! I wish the packaging was more travel-friendly. The scent is a bit strong, so I'd prefer an unscented version. Other than that, I can't find any faults with it. I'd like to recommend this to those who are struggling since La Prairie was discontinued. I used to use La Prairie #0, and Lottie London's shade 2 Beige works perfectly for me. - ji******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 12, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My skin is fine when left alone, but as soon as I apply anything (base products, cushions, or foundations), it becomes incredibly oily. When I first received the delivery in the afternoon, I immediately applied it to my already oily face. Despite the excess oil, I felt that some of the product remained on my skin, though it did slightly cake up. Personally, I found this preferable to other overly matte powder products (like oil control powders). When applied to freshly based skin, it finishes with a soft, matte feel as long as you don't rub it in too hard. You'll definitely notice that it transfers less to glasses or other areas when applied to the nose and cheeks. Though I have a 21 shade skin tone, it seems to brighten my complexion slightly, perhaps due to its mattifying effect. I was also pleased with the scent that everyone mentions. It's a bit more fragrant than oil control powders, but not overpowering. As for blemishes, I received it during my period, so I compared before and after, and it doesn't seem to cause any skin issues. Cleansing with micellar water and face wash doesn't cause any particular irritation. Regarding the shimmer, I honestly didn't even notice it at first! I only found out from reading other reviews. It's so subtle that you don't need to worry about looking too sparkly. The packaging is so pretty that I keep reaching for it, and I appreciate that it comes with an extra puff in the box so you can alternate and wash them. While I'm satisfied immediately after application, the oil inevitably comes back. For me, it's a relatively short time - after about two or three hours, my face becomes an oil slick. I mentioned in the pros that it's less matte than others, but right after applying on top of base makeup, it actually feels similar to or even more intense than other powders. It does settle down over time, but by then the powder has mostly disappeared... I also felt that the oil came back faster precisely because it's less mattifying than others. This could be due to my skin type, so it's best to consider various reviews. Like most cosmetics, if you don't apply your skincare base properly and just pat this on top, it can wipe off or cause pilling. The case isn't particularly fragile, but it can come apart if dropped. I've only dropped it once, so I'm not sure, but that one time it did separate and it was a disaster... If you purchase this, it's best to be careful not to drop it on your desk or anywhere else. Honestly, I don't think it will be very effective for those with very oily skin. Even if you apply it and do your eye makeup, after a while, everything gets oily, including your face. If you're looking to set your makeup, I recommend trying other methods. Next time I'm going to try a setting spray, because my face is really hopeless... I really hope it works better this time. Also, as with most powder products, there are holes through which the product adheres to the puff, so if you pat it directly onto your face, it can leave marks. It's better to gently swipe it sideways with your hand or blend it a bit on the puff before patting it onto your face. If the marks are too strong, you might end up rubbing off or smudging your makeup while trying to blend them out, so I recommend blending on the puff first. - in******Dry SkinSensitive SkinJul 11, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As soon as I got it, I tried it on my hair instead of my face... haha! I had to go out right away and didn't have any oil control powder, so I used this in a hurry. It did a great job of controlling oil and I really liked it! It wasn't too noticeable either. To be honest, my skin lacks both oil and moisture. Even after some time, I never experience any oiliness. So I obviously don't need something to control oil that comes through powder. I use this to minimize pores or to control the oiliness of foundation before applying eye makeup. However, when it comes to pore-tightening, it doesn't seem to have much effect, so I find myself reaching for my usual product more often. For those who use foundation and eye makeup, if you pat this on, your eyelash curler will work better and your makeup brushes will stay cleaner! - on*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 11, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Upon opening, there's an attached mirror large enough to see your whole face. Since this is a powder product, you need to remove the protective sticker underneath to prevent spills. However, the sticker is surprisingly difficult to peel off. The puff is made of microfiber. When applying, some of your foundation may transfer onto the puff. A major plus is the delightful fragrance - it's a floral scent that most women absolutely adore. The microfiber puff is so fine that some fibers came loose and stuck to the mirror surface. The product dispenses very little powder at a time. Even after flipping the compact and tapping the puff, it's challenging to get enough for one application. You might need to repeat this process 4-5 times to cover your whole face. In my opinion, using a powder brush instead of the included puff might work better for covering pores and overall application. I wish the ingredients were of higher quality. I recommend using a powder brush instead of the included puff. - tn******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 10, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The outer box is mesmerizing... Even before opening, the box's ethereal beauty makes my heart race. I still haven't thrown it away, much to my mom's annoyance! 2. Generous amount There's more product compared to other powder products. 3. A powder scent that's not off-putting! The fragrance is definitely more natural and subtle than other powders! I'm usually sensitive to scents in cosmetics, but for a powder, this one doesn't have any unpleasant odor! 4. Looks natural even on bare skin When I'm in a hurry and need to go out without makeup, I quickly dust this on. It brightens my complexion and controls oil, leaving my skin feeling fresh. I'm so satisfied! 5. Effectively controls oil As mentioned, it manages oil well even without makeup! And when wearing makeup, it sits nicely on the skin, mattifying without drying, truly fulfilling its role as a powder! 6. Built-in mirror It comes with a mirror, so you don't need to take out a separate one when applying! Other powders don't have this, so I always had to use another mirror to check. Having it built-in is so convenient! 7. The puff's softness and size I believe the puff plays a crucial role in both powders and cushions! And this puff is just... really... soft... big... beautiful... I love it so much I want to keep touching it... While I loved it, there were a couple of downsides: 1. Size The case is too thick, making it awkward to fit in a makeup pouch or bag... I saw there are thinner cases available, so I might have to get one of those... haha! 2. Shimmer The shimmer is really a matter of personal preference... To share mine, I'm slightly on the dislike side, so that's a bit disappointing. But it's definitely not an overwhelming shimmer, so I still use it well! The fact that with just a quick sweep of this powder, you can confidently go out in public even in urgent situations! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I have combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive (with blemishes) and I usually use shades 22 or 23. When I first saw the powder color in the container, I thought it looked dark and worried I'd chosen the wrong shade. But when I applied it to my skin, it wasn't dark at all. On days when I accidentally use a too-light powder, my face can look ghostly, but this darker shade prevented that issue, which I appreciated. I typically use pressed powders, but this loose powder definitely has a finer texture. It applied evenly without clumping when I dusted it on my skin. There's a subtle, slight shimmer to it. The scent is typical of most powders and compacts. I used it on a rainy day, and while my base makeup was getting sticky and transferring, the areas where I applied this powder stayed matte and barely transferred (it held up well during my 7-hour outing). As someone with oily skin, I didn't find it drying. Also, I didn't experience any skin irritation or breakouts after using it. If you're expecting a brightening effect, you might want to opt for a lighter shade, as this one is on the darker side. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the ingredients list could be improved. But overall, I like it more than I expected and will probably continue using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The biggest advantage was that it doesn't cause blemishes on my face, and it's especially useful in summer. I usually use a compact powder, which tends to stick to my hair. However, when I pat this powder on the areas where my hair overlaps with my face, it doesn't stick to my skin and leaves a soft, matte finish. Highly recommended for summer! The size is too large to carry around in a bag. It doesn't fit into smaller purses, which is disappointing. I have to deliberately choose larger bags to accommodate it... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The powder has an incredibly fine texture that adheres well to the skin, effectively controlling oil without drying out the complexion. What's particularly impressive is that despite having a slight shimmer, it doesn't accentuate pores. Instead, it fills them in nicely, leaving the skin looking remarkably smooth. While there's a generous amount of powder in the container, the puff doesn't pick up much product. The powder also comes out in the shape of the puff's holes, so I had to crumple and spread the puff to apply it evenly rather than directly on my face. The longevity is disappointing. I applied it before work, but oil started to break through before lunchtime. The packaging is too large for carrying around, so I keep it on my vanity for home use only. I've been using the included puff as I don't have a powder brush, but I think a powder brush would apply the product more evenly on the skin.
