Pros
As someone who has used the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream for 10 years, I was very curious about this product, which has a similar visual appearance, even better ingredients, and a higher rating, but a more affordable price. I was able to get a sample from Sephora...! Since I live in the very cold and dry North America, I was hoping this would provide the same level of moisturization as Kiehl's. The price and ingredients are great! It doesn't pill!!! I applied a thin layer in the morning and then put sunscreen and foundation on top, and it didn't pill at all. I really like the fragrance-free scent. It comes in a tube, not a jar, and the tube is even a large size.
Cons
However, the most important factor, the moisturizing power, seems to be better with Kiehl's. With Kiehl's, even if you apply a lot, your skin still feels hydrated and recharged with moisture. This one, on the other hand, feels a bit dry inside and greasy on the outside? ㅜㅜ Did the cream evaporate and dry out? It makes you want to touch it to check the dryness inside.

I used to use The Face Shop Dr. Belmeur products, but since I live in the western United States, the air is very dry, so I bought and tried this product which is said to be super moisturizing, and the moisture level was indeed incredible! When I used the Dr. Belmeur products, as soon as I finished double cleansing at night, my skin would feel tight as soon as I removed the moisture, but with this product, I didn't have that issue at all!
Cons
However, as someone with sensitive, acne-prone, and oily skin, I'm not sure if it was the water here in the US, but after using this cream, my blemishes didn't seem to calm down, so I ended up stopping use after about a week. 😢 My boyfriend, on the other hand, has skin that occasionally gets a pimple or two, and he's been using it well and liking it!

I wouldn't recommend this to those with extremely oily skin! The moisture level is >>>>>>>> the oil level, though there is a tiny bit of oil. I had severe dryness and eczema, but this was the only product that soothed my irritated face. I'll be using First Aid Beauty for life!! I've tried everything from budget to premium, but nothing compares to this for my eczema and redness.
Cons
It has a bit of an oily feel in the summer ㅠㅠ Before, when my skin was really dry, I would slather it on 3-4 times a day, but now that it's combination, I only use it lightly twice a day, in the morning and evening.

It worked well, especially in the winter or when my skin was dry, as it has the right amount of oil. I apply it at night and it's a decent product. Whenever I tried other products and my skin got irritated, I always came back to this one.

Pros
I usually have a lot of uneven skin texture like pimples, but when I applied this product generously before bed like a face mask, the unevenness almost disappeared the next day. Especially last winter, my skin became extremely dry (because I neglected to take care of it), and my face was cracking like a drought-stricken desert, not just a regular dry skin. My skin is normally combination with oiliness in the T-zone, but even the oil in the T-zone wasn't coming up anymore (haha). This severe dryness was a first for me, and even after exfoliating repeatedly, the flakiness just kept coming back. So I decided to soothe the flakiness with intense hydration and oil, and when I applied this generously, the flakiness definitely decreased.
Cons
The oil... when I tried the method above, my extremely dry skin immediately went back to its original combination skin state (oily T-zone & dry cheeks). While it's good that my skin returned to normal, the T-zone started getting shiny again, which was a bit disappointing. The pores around my nose also seem more prominent, and I feel like my blackheads look more obvious. Even normally, when I use this in the morning, the oil and shininess get excessive, so I only use it at night. And the 'pilling'... it pills up like dead skin flakes (haha). It might not look very nice. And since it's a white cream, if you don't apply it properly, it can look cakey. I was a bit disappointed by those aspects, so this isn't a product I reach for often.
Tip
For those with extremely dry skin, try applying this generously before bed like a sleeping pack. Use the warmth of your hands to really work it into the skin until it becomes transparent. At some point, your skin won't be able to absorb any more, and that's when you can stop applying. This will help replenish the skin's oil the next day!
