Compared to the original, this has a firmer texture and provides excellent hydration. It has a delicious strawberry scent but virtually no color. Even after trying other scents, the original remains the most versatile option. Apply a generous amount to your lips before bed. The tin case is adorable and the generous amount means it lasts forever! I bought a set, and even after using it all winter last year, I barely made a dent in one tin - not even a quarter used up! It's so versatile - great as a lip balm when gently melted with your fingertips, and perfect for spot-treating dry patches on your skin in a pinch. Eventually, I got lazy and applied it directly from the tin to my lips. While I stopped using it on my body, I loved slathering it on my lips before bed. By morning, any dead skin cells would be plumped up, making exfoliation a breeze! It has a strawberry smoothie scent, but it's quite artificial - not my cup of tea. Being a balm, it tends to form air bubbles and even melt if kept in warm places. I'm using the tube version, and I must say, nothing beats Smith's Lip Balm for daily use. The strawberry scent is absolutely delightful - it's like a subtle strawberry medicine fragrance. But when you apply it, the scent becomes beautifully subtle. Even with just a light application, your lips look perfectly moisturized. It's fantastic for use all year round! As you can see from the texture in the photo, this is my holy grail lip balm. Once you get hooked on this strawberry scent, there's no going back. I always buy a new one when I run out... The lightweight feel combined with great hydration power effectively softens dead skin cells. Applying it to chapped lips makes them smooth, and using it before bed helps soften flaky skin for easy exfoliation in the morning. When your lips are already in good condition, it makes them incredibly soft... Even though it's a bit pricey, it lasts so long that I don't mind. It's an essential item that I never get tired of! The only slight downside is that you have to apply it with your fingers. Also, the artificial strawberry scent might be hit or miss depending on personal preference. It melts very easily in hot or warm environments. The texture is quite soft and pliable. The formula has a slight pinkish tint but goes on clear. It's versatile enough to use anywhere on the body, so it's great for dry patches too!

It applies with a sticky yet moisturizing feel. Especially in winter when my lips often crack, I generously apply it before bed, and the next morning my lips are in fantastic condition. It's so sticky that sometimes it doesn't blend well with lipstick, causing the lipstick to float on top. Also, it's sensitive to heat, so if left in a hot place during summer, it can melt. Above all, since you have to apply it with your fingers, it becomes tricky to use after applying lipstick as it gets on your hands.

I'm a fan of Uriage products, but this one is just as good in terms of hydration. When I apply it before bed, it works hard overnight to smooth out dead skin cells, leaving my lips feeling great in the morning. The delicious strawberry scent is an added bonus. While the price is a bit steep for a lip balm, it's worth it for the quality. I wish it came in stick form. Having to apply it with your fingers isn't the most hygienic option.
