  As someone who dislikes thick sunscreens, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly and thinly this one absorbs. It's really nice!

  It applies thinly and smoothly due to its lightweight consistency. There's no white cast, which is a plus, but the advantages don't quite outweigh the drawbacks.

  Cons

  It feels too oily on the skin, even for my dry skin type. There's a chemical scent that reminds me of oil refining. The fragrance is not pleasant. Occasionally, I notice it's difficult to wash off completely.

  Pros

  It feels powdery soft the moment you apply it. Many sunscreens leave an oily finish, but Anessa is the only one that achieves this level of velvety smoothness. There's no white cast either. The water-like texture is a plus, as it absorbs quickly into the skin.

  Cons

  The alcohol scent is very strong. It can sting a bit if applied near the eyes. Having to shake the bottle before use is a bit of a hassle.

  It absorbs into the skin instantly upon application. I love how lightweight it feels, as if I'm not wearing anything at all.

  Cons

  I have combination to oily skin, and I think it might be causing some blemishes. Also, the scent is a bit off-putting, reminiscent of a gaseous smell. I won't be repurchasing this... I get the impression it might contain some unfavorable ingredients.

  It doesn't leave a greasy shine, and I love that it doesn't cause pilling when I apply sunscreen and makeup over it.

  Pros

  My husband brought back Anessa sunscreen from Japan. I had another product I was using, so I started using this one about a month ago after finishing the other. At first, I thought it was strange because it was thin and had an alcohol-like scent, but as I continued using it, I found it's not sticky at all and absorbs well. All in all, it's quite good!

  Cons

  There seems to be an alcohol-like scent. It disappears quickly after application, though.

  Pros

  It absorbs well and has great application. The watery texture is amazing - unlike other products that pill, this one doesn't budge at all.

  Cons

  There's a strong alcohol scent. It leaves my skin feeling dry, probably because ethanol is high up on the ingredient list. Double cleansing is a must with this.

  Tip

  I have dry skin, so this alone makes my skin too dry. Applying Cetaphil first and then this product helps a bit.
